"I really want to leave a detailed review for this lovely little resort - the family section of a primarily adults only complex with different properties dotted around the marina.
We booked with Jet2. The bus dropped us immediately outside the bungalows but it really should be made clearer the reception is inside the Suites Del Lago about 50m down the road. The driver was vague with his hand signals and we had to then take all our luggage down the road. Our room wasnt ready but we were offered cold drinks while we checked in, left our luggage and told to return in 1 hr and our cases were then driven up to our bungalow.
There are 12 bungalows. They are bigger than they look from the patio, with a super king room, a twin room, large bathroom, and a lounge / kitchenette. There isn’t much work surface, no oven, a small hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and large fridge freezer. More practical glasses would have been handy as we were constantly washing up the four small tumblers provided. Lovely terrace with table chairs and comfy sofa.
The aircon worked brilliantly, a small issue one day but the remote was quickly replaced and all ok again. There is a large safe in the main bedroom.
Towels and pool towels are provided. The cleaners work very hard and the place is
spotless.
The pool area is beautiful, and nobody reserved sunbeds!! What an absolute joy to find empty beds at 11am or 2pm or 4pm etc and for this reason alone I would return. There are 9 pairs of beds with parasols. They are padded with a mattress protector which is a nice touch. On first impression the pool felt a bit small and it shelves quite steeply which may not suit young children. But overall it was just fine, so quiet and very chilled with families playing and sharing inflatables. No music or entertainment.
The marina is a 1 min walk away. Just perfect. We had a hire car for 3 days and was able to use the onsite car park, just needed a gate fob from reception and a €20 deposit. Great not to be worrying about where to park.
There are some fab restaurants within the Lago resort but unfortunately quite a few are adults only. We particularly wanted to eat at the Thai Garden, my kids favourite. I really do think they should review this policy, especially if you are residents of the Lago. My children would behave just fine so I think they could lower the age to 10/12?
Also worth mentioning there are four 3-bed villas next to the bungalows with private pools, overlooking the marina. These looked super spacious and would love to try them on another visit.
The beach is a 7/8 min walk away. It was sooo busy! We walked onto Son Xoriger which is about 15 mins and felt slightly more spaced out. There are 2 small supermarkets just across the road from the bungalows, one had a little bakery inside which was great for picking up pastries or baguettes for lunch.
Overall a gem of a property in a family friendly resort that gave us the peace and quiet we wanted yet in the heart of the resort."
