"We recently returned from an 11-day vacation at this hotel, which turned out to be quite terrible. I'd like to point out that the food was very good and of high quality, and Maria at the front desk was very kind. However, I feel compelled to point out all the negative aspects I encountered, so as to prepare future travelers, especially families with children:
- We booked a triple room for two adults and an infant, requesting a crib. However, when we arrived, the room had been prepared without the crib, and we waited about an hour and a half before receiving it. Therefore, our baby was unable to rest immediately after a flight. Furthermore, the room was absolutely tiny for three people (considering there was a sofa bed for an adult, which we used as a place to put our suitcases. But how would three adults have managed?
- As soon as we arrived, we noticed that the air conditioning wasn't working. We reported it immediately, but they fixed it after about three hours. Therefore, we suffered significantly from the heat, given that during our stay in Menorca, the temperature was almost 40 degrees Celsius.
- There is no air conditioning in the common corridors leading to the rooms, making the journey very uncomfortable and making you sweat a lot due to the temperature difference between the room and the corridor. Generally, the air conditioning in the bar on the "E" floor isn't working either, which is why it's very hot; such a shortcoming is a serious problem for a facility that's mainly for summer use. On the other hand, the children's area (playroom) has very strong air conditioning and very strong ventilation, which makes it difficult to stay in that room for long; in fact, it's almost always empty.
- The restaurant, in addition to not having powerful air conditioning, is not equipped with a good ventilation/extraction system. Therefore, after breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it is absolutely essential to shower and change your clothes, as the smell of fried food is practically unbearable.
- The pillowcases are very small; in fact, the pillows fall out of the covers, making everything completely unhygienic.
- During our 11-day stay, we never saw anyone clean the common areas (elevators, sofas, terraces), in fact, everything was very dirty. Overall, the room cleaning was also terrible; for days, strands of my wife's hair and my baby's honey stains were left uncleaned. We reported this to reception several times, but there was never any improvement.
- From the first day, we reported that the shower drain was clogged, but for three days they ignored us until we completely flooded ourselves during a shower; the water reached under our bed.
- The children's area was very dirty; my son He contracted a viral bacterial infection, and we were forced to take him to the Menorca hospital, which confirmed that this infection is spread by dirty toys (the hotel's mini club).
- To access the parking lot, there are sensors that raise the access barrier. At night, the sensors are deactivated, and the reception staff "should" open these barriers manually, but practically every time you want to enter or exit at night, you're forced to leave your car near the barrier and return to reception to ask them to open it because they are very distracted and can't see you on the cameras. (The first night, there was no staff at reception, and we waited 25 minutes outside the barrier waiting for someone to arrive; then the barrier suddenly opened, and the staff still couldn't be seen.)
- During lunch, my wife found a sheet of plastic inside the cuttlefish.
- Despite having the all-inclusive package, the hotel doesn't provide water; you can only refill your bottle at a dispenser at the bars, but only until midnight, after which it closes. Furthermore, Refilling the water means it's never cold (the heat reaches up to 40°C).
- The reception staff is always very quick to respond to every request.
- There's no porter; I had to carry my six bags from the car to the room myself using a cart they provided.
- Near the pool, the drain grates are full of hair and other debris; it's disgusting.
These are the negative comments we unfortunately felt compelled to make, and which future families with children should be prepared for. During our stay, we gradually reported the inconveniences, but unfortunately, the fact that they continually presented new ones suggests a lack of care."
