"We booked three nights at Leonardo Boutique Mallorca and somehow ended up starring in our own reality TV series.
The hotel itself is fantastic. Great pool, great cocktails, a rooftop bar with brilliant views and a location that’s pretty much perfect. You’re a short walk from the marina, surrounded by beautiful yachts, restaurants and bars, but far enough away that the hotel still feels relaxed and chilled.
What makes this place special though is the atmosphere.
It’s adults-only, not too big and not too small, which means by Day 2 everyone somehow knows everyone. You start by saying hello at breakfast and before you know it you’ve got recurring characters, inside jokes and a friendship group.
Enter Fred, the solo traveller from London.
Then came Wrong Hotel Tom, who arrived in Mallorca for his aunt’s 60th birthday celebrations only to discover he’d booked a hotel with a very similar name to the one his entire family were actually staying in. An iconic start to any holiday.
Fortunately he found his family. Unfortunately for him, the nickname stuck.
We also met Dinny V and Stevo, who quickly established themselves as two of the most entertaining members of the cast. Every good reality show needs characters who are always up for “just one more pint” and they filled that role perfectly.
Then there was Tracy, who somehow could connect complete strangers within about thirty seconds of meeting them. If this holiday had a producer, it was Tracy.
One evening we returned to the hotel to discover Noah (Marcus) asleep in the corridor. Concerned citizens that we are, we assisted with getting him back to bed. We can only assume he made a full recovery.
What we loved most was that everyone was genuinely friendly. There was none of the usual holiday awkwardness where people avoid eye contact around the pool. People chatted, laughed, shared stories and actually got to know each other.
We’ve stayed in hotels with bigger pools, fancier rooms and more facilities, but we’ve never stayed anywhere that created such a brilliant atmosphere in such a short space of time.
The hotel gave us exactly what we wanted from Mallorca: great drinks, great location, great vibes and a weekend we’ll be laughing about for years.
Would we stay again?
Absolutely.
Mainly because we’re emotionally invested in Season 2 and need to know what happens next.
P.S. We’d like to thank the entire cast for making our three-night stay feel like eight episodes of prime-time television. Special thoughts remain with Wrong Hotel Tom and whichever hotel he’s currently booked into."
