"This was an outstanding holiday hotel. I can't say how much we enjoyed our stay. The room was serviced everyday, the food and snacks bar was amazing, usually all inclusive buffets are a bit samey, but this one was incredible. Quality food, different food themed nights, even had some tomahawk steak from the bbq! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and now to the entertainment... I have never experienced hotel entertainment like it. There is a whole team dedicated to pulling off some spectacular shows, above what you would expect from a hotel. I would have paid extra to watch the shows we saw. Well done Andre and the team!! The pools and the bars are gorgeous, the adult only areas were lovely and peaceful. They also offer activities like archery etc that we did and loved it. We are rebooking for our anniversary in May next year. If Andre is still there leading the entertainment that would make our holiday! Well done everyone there. You gave us amazing memories and an amazing holiday! Jen and Dave Moll"

"We were really looking forward to our holiday at the Valentin Grand Park but I feel it did not meet our expectations. Check in was fine, we arrived around midnight and there was a small selection of food available with water etc which was nice. During the check in process the receptionist put a card machine in front of me and asked me to pay around 60 euros but did not explain why. I believed it was due to the tourist tax but it would be helpful and more professional if this was explained to guests when asking them to pay. There are 2 lifts in the hotel and they are very small. If you go in with a pram you’re not fitting a lot more in. The rooms are okay. Air con is great and WiFi throughout the hotel was excellent. Our room was clean on arrival however we had a family member arrive 2 days later and we had to request the room be cleaned again as there was hair in the shower and lots of sand on the sofa. It also smelled like someone had used the toilet fairly recently. The restaurant was fine. Food was okay. They have theme nights like Chinese, Mexican etc. the hot plate was good serving up fresh cooked meat. There was also a bbq night that was good. Breakfast was fine, nice sweet treats and coffee machines were fine. Restaurant staff should be commended, work very hard keeping area clean and tables clear of plates. There are aspects of the hotel which appear quite tired. The interior decor of the hotel is slightly old fashioned. There are a lot of sunbeds around the children’s pool area which are in need of attention due to bird poo staining. We also found a couple to be broken with cracks on the frame. The polls are really good and the pool areas really clean. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and kept in good order. The majority of the staff are fantastic. Ali in the restaurant was brilliant. So friendly. Antonio, Sonia and Matias were also fantastic. Really friendly, attentive and hard working. A credit to the hotel. The waiter Joan was the opposite. Don’t think I saw him smile once. Actually felt like it was annoying him when you ordered drinks from him. The only time I saw him smile in 10 days was when I saw him speaking to the hotel manager at the bar. Otherwise he looked like he didn’t want to be there. The animation team were really excellent and a credit to the hotel also. Very hard working. Kids club was great. Shows were really good. I really enjoyed the shows perform by the animation team, they were really excellent. My daughter absolutely loved them also. I feel the hotel should have a smoking area during the mini disco/shows. people smoking right beside the mini disco and smoking during the shows. There should be specified smoking tables off to the side which would still have good views of the stage, just away from others who don’t want to inhale the smoke. I enjoy a few cigarettes on holiday and when I smoke I go off to the side out the way, particularly at the mini disco where there is a lot of kids. When the show finishes for the evening the staff will start stacking all the empty tables and chairs. If you’re sitting with a drink at this point it’s not particularly relaxing. You get the feeling that you shouldn’t be there as they gather up all the furniture around you. There are other seating areas/bars you can use within the hotel at this point. On the Sunday before I left the hotel manager was smoking and drinking at the pool bar area with members of staff who were in their uniform. I don’t think this was a great look for the hotel, didn’t seem professional. The hotel is situated up a hill which you walk down to get to the beach. Takes about 5 mins to walk down and maybe 10/15 to get back depending on fitness levels. Beach and surrounding areas Transfer from airport for us was about 1 hour. I enjoyed my holiday, I just felt some things could be better. Would I recommend it to friends? Im not sure. I think for the money you could find better in the area perhaps. "Let's start with the positives. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good aircon in room and wifi, Nice outdoors, and food was surprisingly good and varied for a three star. These three are what saved the overall score from mediocracy, and here I elaborate. Parking is on the street only or in the municipality parking with rough terrain, which when it rains turns into muddy swamp. Decor is quite dated needs a refurb, broken lifted tiles is a common occurance . So does the room furniture, some of which is literally falling apart. Sofa bed in 122 had filrhy armrests. Cleanliness good but can be better. Kettle in room but no coffee. Now the one thing that makes me never want to return. The beds are by far the most uncomfortable I have ever slepy in. Matresses are cheap or old. There wasn't a single night I felt having rested. Apparently all rooms have same mattresses - very strange. Awful experience considering we were upgraded to a golden room with terrace. Terrace is a big flop beacause its shared. The hotel might tick the boxes for tour operators send elderly over 60 guests in droves. We booked direct but quite frankly expected better."
