"What a fabulous place. Stayed here based on the reviews and were not disappointed.
It was clean, tidy and well looked after. The apartments have been newly renovated to a lovely modern standard and had everything in we needed for our self-catering hol (towels, small washing up pack with cloth / washing up liquid / sponge, tea towels, hand soap, shower gel, coffee machine, toaster, mugs and cups (they must take actions on reviews on here as the 2 rooms we were in had decent sized mugs added!))
The 2 pools were well kept and lovely (one slightly chiller than the other but great for a refreshing morning wake up swim!) The pools never felt overcrowded (people did like to reserve sunbeds but this sadly seems to be the norm everywhere and luckily it wasn’t overly busy and we always managed to find 1 or 2!) (1 tip that is good to know - you can hire pool towels there for a €10 deposit - we didn’t know this but if tight on space packing is worth knowing!)
The staff here are so welcoming, friendly and accommodating, and the bar man (who also helped on reception (sorry have forgotten name!)) always made a point of saying Hi to our little two and remembering their names which made them smile.
Hotel is in a quiet location but within easy walking distance of the beaches, restaurant and action.
Hotel has a snack menu which is available all day - simple but very good food (club sandwiches / burgers) and food sized portions!
Only one thing is the noise from upstairs rooms if you are in a lower room can be heard as ceiling is not the thickest (obviously this depends on who is above you - it was mixed for us and generally manageable but the second part of our week we seemed to have someone above who really enjoyed scrapping their chairs across the floor until 11.30pm most nights … maybe a little note to remind guests in the upstairs rooms would be a good idea or to put soft fabric on the bottom of the legs of the chairs / tables!?)
My little boy was taken poorly on the day we were due to fly home (literally within hours of us being picked up & about to check out of our room!) As such we ended up having to delay our flight by 3 days as he was not at all well. The hotel were so, so helpful in terms of managing bookings so we were able to stay in our room, and then again for another 2 nights when he still wasn’t well enough to fly. A huge thank you as it meant a lot during what was a very stressful and worrying time! The cleaners also gave us extra towels, and checked we didn’t need any thing else. We were found a fan when I asked (as there was a problem with the air con) to keep my little one cool (he had a temp) and the people behind the bar kept us supplied with ice which we broke up for him to have as rehydration. Please pass our thanks on to your whole team!
We would definetly return to Hotel Montana Suites in the future if we were staying in the same area."
