"Booked this for the Mrs 50th as we'd been there before. Asked for the rooms up in the 600s as they were "the quietest" blocks in the complex. Checked in superb and was granted one of these rooms. First class. I'll break it into sections.
The cleaning.... This was done daily it claims. I left my shoes on the balcony within the first ten minutes so had to walk back to the balcony from the bedroom and as you can see from the socks... It's immaculate, hardly a mark on them bless em These girls must spend all day mopping with Mr Muscle to get them this clean. Their dedication is second to none, we could all do with these cleaners in our hospitals. Towels changed twice a week. The second day of being here, they did indeed get changed. Not sure why as we only arrived 16 hours before but as I said... Dedication faultless and we may have been sweaty. At the end of the week they had indeed been changed again....position only.... from the dryer on the balcony back to the towel rail in the bathroom still with the pigeon detritus on them. Not to worry, I'll clean them though, you are busy. . They must have been so so busy bless them that the sheets only got changed on day 5 after the Mrs told them that they were so busy that they must have overlooked us and the beige map of Sudan on the mattress protector
The accommodation.. Some of these apartments have had a refurb and ours must have had this. Rooms fully painted throughout and no expense spared. They had Stevie Wonder in to do the cutting in and I echo his words... That's a damn fine job brother. To be fair, the new fittings are next generation as you can see from the toilet roll holder... This may confuse some folk but this bad boy comes from the space shuttle where there IS no gravity and works perfect in space. Lanza can rest assured that Las lomas is future proofed, no more hovering round the ceiling in order to wipe ones bum.
The pool.... I am trying hard to find the words to describe the effort at least 3 employees daily have assigned to this. They have worked, smoked and laughed tirelessly every day an hour before opening to put as many chemicals into this little pond that they match the Simpsons movie video and then some. All in an effort to make the holiday goers not see the yellow tide mark of sun cream, urine and sweat (like grandads left the bath) from the performing crew (see next point). As I observed this I thought... Greenpeace are going to be called in a second as I could foresee cormorants and gulls getting stuck in the oily slick that had formed. I thought... In a minute there are going to be ladders dropped from helicopters and we'll be on the news. No way, these two quick witted canarians soon dispersed it with a good old swishing with the turd net in super time... No sign to be seen.. seconds before the kids jumped into it. Hero's.... their parents will be amazed at how clean their toilet is for the next 6 weeks while they poo out actual chlorine cleaning blocks. I'm sure they'll go on sale as soon as they realise they can make a few quid. Not to worry about any soccorista on site, they only turn up when it's so cold there is no one in the pool
The entertainment. . Wow... What a bonus. We genuinely thought they're wasnt any. . How lucky we were.... Unbeknown to us, the cheeky chaps at reception had booked us into the 600s block (as we asked) without telling us that Billy Smarts Circus reject candidates had been booked into the rooms just below us. Two rooms full of them in fact. They'd got more inflatables between the two rooms than they have in our local pool on the fun and floats session. Great touch and very thoughtful leaving them blowing around the pool whilst they left the hotel for the whole day twice, especially the moaning about one being deflated when they got back. The water acrobats... They were even pulling tremendous jumps from the flower beds ! . Dont worry if you think you'll miss the performance by going out for the evening, this carries on most nights until at least 1am without any hindrance from anyone at the hotel. Will we come back? Of course... At 579 quid for two of us, it'll be nice... Even if it is like a eat zone, we'll be back December 😝"
