"Booked as a Jet2 package holiday, a "premium 2 bedroom apartment with a pool view".
First impression on arrival was that the reception area looked quite fancy. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. She took us to our room to explain how the door opened and locked (patio door). At first, bit disappointed being on the ground floor as not much of a view ("pool view" was a bit of a stretch - literally, you could see it but only just!). However, the location of the room turned out it had advantages. Being the end room meant we had a bigger outdoor space and a door straight into our room from outside so no need to go past reception or get lost in hotel corridors. It also allowed us to let the kids pop in and out on their own to play pool (right in front of our room) and we could supervise from our patio area (ages 10 & 15, not tiny children!)
The apartment itself was pretty basic but ok. It was clean enough but in need of some TLC. I hadn't realised there were 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite) so that was a nice surprise.Bit of mould in the bathrooms and they stunk of sewage. The kitchen was tiny and not particularly well equipped. No washing up liquid or cloth / sponge. The bedrooms were a decent size and so was the living area. Beds and pillows hard and not very comfortable. The maid came to make beds and change towels every day. She didn't always leave extra toilet roll but it wasn't a problem to ask Reception for an extra one when needed.
The swimming pools were good and it was nice to have the choice of more than one. The main pool is beside the restaurant and is where all the entertainment happens. This was the busiest but still able to get a bed ok,even in August summer holidays. The smaller pool was much quieter and not as deep so ideal for kids or less confident swimmers. The splash pool was brilliant and safe for letting kids play. Unable to use the rooftop adult only pool because of having children with us but had quick nosey and it looked lovely, only a couple of people up there and it had its own bar.
We only ate at the restaurant once but it was decent food and good service. The barmen were nice and friendly.
We didn't see a lot of the entertainment but really enjoyed the magician. It was pitched perfectly to be enjoyed by both children and adults.
Morning exercise with Jeffrey was good (even though I was the only one taking part!). Jeffrey also doubled up as a clown and bingo caller so that was quite amusing.
Mercadona supermarket 5 minutes walk away (with a good play park beside it) and an Eroski in the other direction a little bit further. Nothing else roundabout really but a bus stop at the end of the street so it was easy enough to get about that way. The walk to the town of Santa Eulalia was about 20 minutes. Pretty flat and straight forward so an easy enough walk, but hard work in the heat!
Overall, the hotel complex was really nice. I liked the layout of it and the fact it was quite small. Every member of staff we dealt with was nice and friendly. It's a shame the rooms don't live up to the impression the reception area gives though.
I wouldn't say it was particularly good value for money but that's going off Jet2s prices (about £3500 for a week self catering). I would imagine booking direct it would be nowhere near that price but I don't know as tend to stick with package deals."
