"Security: 0/10 - Not safe or secure WARNING
There is no CCTV at this hotel. They have two cameras (one at the entrance and one at the bar). When an incident happened they had to get in contact via email with a 3rd party security firm. 5 days later they responded with an email that said the cameras are too old and analogue so cannot be reviewed.
There are no security staff on site at all. Literally not a single employee has been allocated responsibility for safety/security.
The pool area is open to the public walking in from both the side and down by the cove/sea edge. There are no secure gates.
Locals entered the pool area regularly and at one point I filmed them to prove to management it was happening and had staff remove them from the pool. The bar staff responded initially by saying 'but we are not security' and then said 'where is the life guard'. Once they located the 3rd party contracted life guard, that chap had a word with the people and they got out of the pool and eventually left. The locals swore at me as they left.
Here is the critical part. My entire bag including iphone, airpods, my clothes, flipflops, book...the lot...got stolen from hotel premises, from the sun beds. Presumably by locals that were just letting them selves in!
The staff were not very helpful at all. As i said, it took 5 days to get an answer about the CCTV and they didn't do any sort of investigation or call the police. They told me i could report it to the police myself the next day in a different town i would have to get to by taxi.
Location: 6/10
A quiet cove setting surrounded by other hotels and some basic shops to support tourism. Taxi into old Ibiza town is 22euro each way. Taxi's are easy to order from reception. Busy touristy beach, clear water with some seaweed.
Cleanliness: 3/10
The hotel is cleaned regularly by cleaning staff but its not to a high standard. The atrium is done well but the rooms are not great and as the place is very worn down it feels dirty because of its age. Stained coffee tables, worn carpets, aged yellowing edges around the shower doors,
Bed sheets are clean and beds are comfortable though a bit sweaty because of the water proof matress protector.
Aircon works well though i heard some people confirming
Scum covered jacuzzi - I didn't see it cleaned once the whole week i was there.
Pool side furniture - old plastic, rust, weathered
Pool - clean water but the edges of the pool are very very deteriorated.
Decking - broken all over the place
Bins - graffiti on bin in pool area, most likely done by a local.
Service: 5/10
Staff are young and generally friendly, polite but not very experienced. They spend more time chatting to each other than focussing on providing any sort of proactive service to clients.
People who have been going to the Palldium hotel for a few years said that guests would get serviced their drinks at their sun beds and everything was a lot more proactive.
Now, you have to ask at the bar for things and the menu's are hidden away. Most people didn't know you can order food from the bar or get free ice creams.
When it comes to things going wrong they don't really know what to do. My friend cut her leg really badly and neither the bar staff or reception knew what to do or how to provide first aid. The 3rd party life guard had to be located and he helped but medical supplies were not readily available.
Pool towels - ran out so we didn't get some some days. Aged blue towels.
Noise: Quiet, although there were two fire alarms there when i stayed and the bin lorries etc are a bit noisy.
Entertainment: 0
Some live music, poor.
Aqua aerobics at 12 each day, barely any one does it, its a bit odd as this isn't a hotel focussed around health and fitness.
Fitness: Gym is tiny and unwelcoming. Don't bother
Activities: Never saw the Jet2 rep there once and there were no obviously easily accessible things to do like kyaks or paddle boards.
Felt like old peoples home come the evening.
Bag painting and fan painting during the day. Minimal and cheap. Lady who
Food 0/10
Allergen labels really really poor - you have been warned, do not go to this hotel if you have any allergies. A lady with a shellfish allergy ended up going to hospital after eating a salad that was not labelled correctly. My friend is lactose intolerant and vegan. After specifically explaining this and checking every item each time, she was still ill every day as they kept putting butter in everything.
Lots of good quality salad and fruit provided. Hot meals not so good - id say average.
No vegan deserts or ice cream. This hotel really does not cope with Vegans very well at all.
Food at the bar / pool side has to be paid for. There are a few left overs that are put at the bar if you are desperate but they're a bit nasty.

The hotel have confirmed a refund given our experience."
