"We stayed 21st-28th March, check in was quick and received welcome drinks and snacks. Given a map to show us our room and told lifts not working due to the weather (storm Therese). Followed the map and eventually found room after about 15 minutes down a slope and 5 lots of stairs (signage not the best as the sign for our room was when you looked down a set of steps). On entering room there was a Bottle of Champagne with a card saying happy anniversary (we had emailed before travelling to say we were celebrating our anniversary) and a 2ltr bottle of water which was a nice touch.Room was clean and tidy but a bit outdated and in need of renovation especially bathroom as space to get into the shower was a narrow gap would be a problem if you are a biggish person. Kitchen was clean and had a sponge, tea towel and washing up liquid on the sink. Bedroom was very basic with a double wardrobe with a safe in which is free and a dressing table and a large fan. (No bedside cabinets or drawers) beds were soft and had a large pillow on each and a scatter cushion (extra blanket in wardrobe if cold). Living area had 2 couches which made into 2 single beds and a TV couldn't get any English channels.
Balcony was huge with 2 sunbeds, sun umbrella and a table and 2 chairs.
We had a problem with our door not opening after coming back from breakfast, went up to reception and he registered the key got back still didn't work, did this a second time still didnt work, went back up and said we wanted a technician was told one would be there shortly. Waited 45 minutes still noone saw cleaner and he tried ringing someone. It was only when the manager walked past and saw us asked if everything ok and we explained had been waiting for a technician and he said nothing had been reported to him, he got straight onto the phone and got a technician straight away when he found the door needed a new lock eventually sorted after 4 hours which ruined what we had planned for the day. Lighting was bad of a night only lights working half way down the slope which could be very dangerous as you got quite a few dark spots.
Food was very nice plenty of choice at each meal but beware if you want snacks they are not what is on the snacks menu was told all inclusive in the dining area when we went to order (a sign up to explain this would be very helpful).
Cleaning was not the best, he wiped the kitchen sink, bathroom sink emptied the bins and mopped the floor, never once wiped surfaces and mirror in bathroom or brushed up or cleaned the bedroom. Sheets never changed at all and towels only changed twice in the week we stayed. Balcony was never brushed or ashtray emptied.
Drinks were good and plenty of choice.
Hotel was nice and staff very helpful, if the lighting and cleaning was improved we would stay again as we enjoyed the stay and the view from the balcony was amazing.
Close to the Europa centre and crazy golf right outside the hotel, taxi costs 7 euros to the town centre.
Hotel was nice and we would stay again if cleaning and hotel updated a little
Hotel would be a problem"
