"We stayed here as a young family and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience, especially for a last-minute booking. From the moment we arrived, the staff really stood out. They were friendly, attentive and genuinely seemed happy in their roles which made such a difference to the overall atmosphere. Walking from our room to the pool, every single member of staff acknowledged us with a smile or hello, which created such a welcoming and relaxed feel. Although the hotel is graded as a 3-star, it definitely feels above that. We’re not particularly fussy travellers and actually prefer a more laid-back environment, and this hotel delivered exactly that. There was no stressful rush for sun loungers and very few people were reserving them early, which made pool days much more enjoyable. The facilities are fantastic, especially for families. The large pool with different zones, the soft play area, and the spa were all highlights for us. The tidal beach pool is also a brilliant feature -really safe for little ones and a great addition to the hotel. On our first day, our little boy unfortunately had a nasty bump to his head (I’d definitely recommend bringing beach shoes for children around the pool). The way the staff handled it was incredible. The lifeguard responded immediately, and the reception team were so kind and supportive. One lovely English lady at reception (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch her name) went above and beyond.She made a personalised card for our son and gave both our boys a cuddly toy and some sweets. Such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to us as parents. The food was also very good for a 3-star hotel. While there may have been slightly fewer choices compared to some larger resorts we’ve stayed in, the quality was noticeably better. We were a group of 10, and everyone found something they enjoyed. The restaurant staff worked incredibly hard and were always friendly and accommodating. The spa is a real standout feature. It’s spacious and well-equipped, with a connected gym and games room. One thing we particularly appreciated was that children are allowed in the spa between 10–12. This meant we could actually enjoy the sauna, cold plunge and jet baths as a family is something that’s often not possible elsewhere. A really thoughtful touch for families. Overall, this hotel offers a relaxed vibe in a great location, with fantastic staff and excellent facilities. It genuinely exceeded our expectations and feels like it deserves more than its current star rating. We would absolutely recommend it to other families and wouldn’t hesitate to return."

"We got back yesterday from a weeks all inclusive holiday at this hotel with our two children (age 11 and 13). It had many positive points: - lovely views from our room/balcony (we were on the 9th floor). - great spa downstairs which our children loved using each morning (it's open between 10am - 12pm every day for children to use) and has a range of different pools and steam rooms etc. - swimming pool was a perfect size and temperature. We also managed to find sun loungers each day with no issue. - food at the restaurant was good and varied each day - each night is a different country as the theme which was nice. There was a great selection for veggies too. We also really liked the steaks cooked on hot stones at the pool bar, as well as the cake they bought out at 3pm every day! - The sunset bar on level 5 was a lovely place to enjoy a drink with stunning views, and was always pretty quiet when we were there at about 6pm. Also wanted to mention the lovely lady who worked behind the bar up there - I can't remember her name, but she was always so smiley and friendly. The negative points: - unfortunately, as many of the recent reviews explain, there was obviously quite a serious issue of norovirus or similar sweeping through the hotel during our stay. Fortunately, we escaped relatively unscathed, although my son did have an upset tummy and tummy pains for a day and a half which might have been a version of it. I witnessed a woman vomiting all over the pool bar floor one day, and we were woken up once by very loud sounds of the man in the room next door being sick all night. We also saw various piles of sick throughout the hotel. I appreciate it must be very hard to keep something like this contained with so many people - but it really put me on edge worrying about trying not to catch it and constantly using hand sanitizer. - the evening entertainment wasn't great. It started late at 9.30pm every night, and only went on for an hour max, but it could have been alot better. Imagine very mediocre, cringe-worthy singers butchering songs...my 13 year old son preferred to stay in his room and avoid it entirely! - we weren't too impressed by Arguineguín - it was rather scruffy and tired and there didn't seem to be much to it. We did however get the boat from the marina along to Port Mogan which we loved. I highly recommend this - it's a beautiful boat trip and place. Overall, we were impressed by the hotel and facilities but the unfortunate vomiting issue did put abit of a dampener on the holiday for us, so we wouldn't return because of this."

"Literally the worst holiday we could have possibly had. 3 out of 4 of us ended up with norovirus and my youngest got scarlet fever. So much going around and no extra precautions being taken by the hotel. We ended up being stuck in the room for 4/5 days. Something clearly seriously a miss for all this sickness to be spreading like it is. What was meant to be a nice family holiday after a pretty stressful year ended up costing us a small fortune to call a dr out (luckily insured) and just added to our stresses. I was so grateful to leave. I was so looking forward to exploring Gran Canaria but honestly wouldn’t go back it’s seriously tainted it all for us. Serious concerns! If you have booked it try and cancel it because it isn’t worth going to just be stuck in an apartment."
