"Relaxing family holiday. Apologies for the late & long review. We stayed for one week in the height of the British school summer holidays as a family of 3. Me (F53), Husband (M53) and son (M17). Check in: We opted for a private transfer from the airport which was fantastic in the 40 degree weather as it was air conditioned. We were the only ones checking in at approx 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon. It was easy & efficient and was given all the information we needed. Room: Premium one bedroom apartment with large terrace. It was a large apartment with a good sizes bedroom, large bathroom and very large kitchen and lounge area. There as a fully fitted kitchen with a large fridge freezer if you needed it. We only used it for drinks & ice cubes. There were washing up facilities with liquid and a brush if needed. The lounge area had a large dining table and a sofa that also doubled up as a bed. My 17 yr old tall son said it was adequate and not uncomfortable. Might not be brilliant for larger adults though. It was very clean and had no complaints at all. Plenty of storage, although you may need to bring additional hangers. The terrace was huge with a good view over the sea. It was not enclosed, but it didn't make a difference to us. There was plenty of soft seating, a table and sun beds. It was quite nice to sit outside on the evening with a drink as it was peaceful. There was a large pool that didn't have a deep or shallow end, I am 5ft 3 and had to tip toe to stay above water. Was never to busy and was not freezing. The only downside was you couldn't have inflatables or balls in the pool. The food was good in my opinion, plenty of choice and was hot. The inside dining area however was not air conditioned and on the days it was 40 degrees it was too warm. However, there was plenty of space outside in the shade to eat. I would definitively recommend the twice weekly BBQ. The self service bar was great, with a good selection of drinks, it was never overcrowded. We took pint glasses with lids which kept drinks cool. The bar only has small plastic glasses unless you had wine or prosecco. The eating and bar area was very clean with empty plates , cups and glasses removed quickly. There was never a wait for tables. There wasn't much entertainment in in the day as the Rep that does it was off sick for 3 or 4 days. Evening entertainment wasn't the best, some nights as it was a quiz night or karaoke. However some of the outside acts were ok, a magic act, flamenco dancing and singers etc. There is a timetable so you can see what day & night entertainment will be. Most night after dinner at about 9pm we would venture into the Europa centre, it was about a 20 minute walk or 5 euros in a cab. Good selection of bars and restaurants. We tended to end up in the same Irish bar as it had live bands and a good selection of beers, ciders and Guinness for good value. I probably wouldn't recommend for a family with teenagers as there isn't much to do for them. However, its great if you just want to relax, eat decent food and have a few drinks. One of the best things about the holiday was you never had to to get up early for a sunbed. There were always plenty of empty ones around the pool areas, there was also a quiet area with sunbeds and the big Balinese beds which was always empty when we were there. My husband and I will definitely go back on our own next year"

"We visited for 10 days with two young children. Although the apartment was good for the price (we had a wonderfully spacious terrace) the site had decent facilities and the distance to local attractions was good... the hotel staff let this place down. One of the main attractions was the splash park. This only worked for three days of our trip and the staff had no interest in fixing it when it stopped. Each day after the kids would go to the button to be dissapointed. We raised it multiple times and were met with distaste. The lifeguards were inconsistent. Initially the kids were allowed small rings as floatation aids. We went to get one specifically only for the rules to changed. This was hard for the kids to understand and again... not handled well. As a Ceoliac (which I did specific before) the options were limited but mostly because of the labelling. For example deserts were listed as "deserts' (for the lot with all allergens) and many rice dishes such as pealla was always labeled as containing wheat. When we arrived late due to the nightmare of the e-gates at Las Palmas I was given a bread sandwich. The air conditioning didn't work for four days. The bathroom shower leaked and had no ventilation. Several shows were no shows. Under the drinks machine's was a long drain that smelt like sewage most of the day and was honestly a bit nauseating. We enjoyed the beach. The taxis were easy and affordable and the shop next door was handy. It is such a shame that all the problems were fixable but no one cared. When you save to have one special family holiday you want to feel like providers understand that... not that your enjoyment is a burden to them. Sadly if you are considering this with a young family or as someone with an allergy I would not recommend unless there are changes"

"I've been coming to this hotel for about 20 years and continue to come back to meet up with friends we have met here and therefore the main thing that has kept us coming is the people. We have also always loved everything about the hotel but i have to say some updating is now needed. Entertainment - until 2025 when Servatur took over the whole entertainment programme, day & night, was brilliant and for several years was managed by Jamie. In 2025 it was awful and although improved greatly this year because Anna is a lovely person and did everything she could to do her best for the guests, most of it was out of her hands and the evening shows are not as good as they were and evenings are definitely missing what we had before. Definitely keep Anna for next year but help her make it even better for guests. Rooms & outside areas - some getting a bit tired and outside areas don't appear to be kept as clean as they used to be. Our grandchildren didn't come this time thankfully as the splash area wasn't working and looked very tired and rusty round the edges. This has been a big feature for them in the past and is quite a big loss without it working. I'm sure i will be back for the people & staff but if Servatur don't want to lose loyal guests, they do need to make some improvements."
