"My mum and I have just come back from 6 nights here and wow - what an amazing place!
We were welcomed with a glass of champagne on arrival and the hotel lobby is stunning. We were given our all-inclusive bracelets - I think these are such a great idea. They are your room key so no need to carry a room key with you and the best bit is no signing after every drink, you just order and they can see that you're all inclusive and that's it, brilliant.
Our room was extremely clean, in fact everywhere around the hotel was. There was always someone cleaning and it was noticeable as there was zero rubbish or dust anywhere. Our room was nicely laid out and the beds comfy. In the bathroom we had a rain shower and the toiltries smelt amazing.
There were so many thoughtful touches that made our stay better. Having pool towels in your room in a basket that you could take with you, an included mini bar, coffee machine and nuts and chocolates throughout the week.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff. What incredible staff you have. Every single staff member we interacted with was so polite, welcoming, happy and helpful. As soon as you sit down someone is over to see if you would like a drink and nothing is too much to ask. I would really like to thank Sara (thank you so much for helping me find the Rioja Añares Blanco! Trying to find some for home now!), Marlon from animation (happy birthday for this week!), Alberto for being so welcoming and Veny for the great entertainment you provided! And also everyone who's name we didn't get, it felt like such a personalised experience and we felt incredibly well looked after.
The food was amazing. There is the buffet restaurant but its not a typical canteen buffet, everything is laid out so well and the choices are brilliant. Every day has something new, they have a grill area where you choose your meat/fish and they grill it fresh for you, they have lots of choice of main dishes but also so many types of bread, fresh fruit, wow the puddings, themed areas (one night I had half a lobster!), stone baked pizza area, choose your own pasta dish, canarian potatoes with mojo sauces, so so much to choose from. I also saw suger free, gluten free and vegan options available too. I have seen someone below left a review to say the atmosphere in the restaurant wasn't nice and that it was repetitive but I strongly disagree.
There is also Almar where you can book for lunch/dinner. We had lunch there and their patatas bravas and pork and goats cheese toasts were so nice! There is also the bar Almar and the star cafe that do snacks and a japanase show restaurant but we didnt visit there.
There are a vast variety of drinks available and included on all inclusive. They were all of good quality and the cocktails were nice and made well - not watered down or overly strong. And you have to try a Barraquito, the canarian coffee. You can order drinks from just about anywhere and the Star Café is open 24 hours for snacks and hot drinks too.
We like to drink bottled water on holiday and all the water in this hotel is filtered which is great. In the restaurants you get glass bottles of still/sparkling filtered water and in your room they supply you with a glass decanter that you go to the end of your floor and fill up from a filtered dispenser. You can choose ambient, cold or sparkling.
Access to beach is easy and the beach is huge and lovely. There are lifeguards on the beach and by the pools too. The pools were a great design and lovely to swim in and sit by too.
The entertainment was good, we saw live singers and shows in the theatre (the ethiopian circus were amazing!) and there were violinists and saxophonists in the bars too. There was a great programme throughout the day with workshops and fitness and the animation team are super friendly.
I liked having lots of different areas to chill. There were the normal sun loungers but also day beds, hanging egg chairs, rocking lounger chairs and hammocks. And lots of areas in the sun, in the shade and inside too.
There is a small area of clothes shops and a spar shop close by which someone below said was depressing, but they obviously didnt see the chipmonks that live next to them (yes, really!) and a small walk up the road leads you to a whole load of different shops to browse. There are small independent shops selling clothes and jewellery inbetween larger stores like Ale Hop and Mango. We also walked to Morro Jable that has a few shops too.
Overall it was one of the best all inclusives we've ever been too and will most definitely be back. Thank you ever so much for such a fantastic holiday and we hope to see you soon!
