"I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights last week, would I go back not a hope. Here are the positives & negatives on the hotel:
Good points: Close to the seafront probably 7 minute walk, indoor pool which was spotless and lovely and warm, staff always cleaning, breakfast was okay I had continental I am from Ireland so this was fine for me and always plenty to eat as staff replacing food but this was low season. Bathroom in rooms was recently renovated and the shower was amazing.
Staff were all friendly bar one guy who clearly didnt want to be working that day.
Kettle and cups in the room and a 2 ring hob but no cutlery, plates or pots to cook if you want to do that so the 2 ring hob is useless.
Wheelchair access for anyone who needs it at the front of the hotel to get in, once inside and also down to the dining room so thats a plus.
Bad points: Work going on in the hotel so drilling & banging parts of the day, WIFI is shocking so it keeps dropping, pool outside freezing okay so it is winter there, rooms look nothing like what is advertised & when we checked in they tried to give is a room with no balcony and just a high window looking out to a brick wall ( pictures attached ) when we refused to take that room they offered us a room with a balcony but we had to pay extra when we went to look at that room it was dingy and the balcony looked out over roofs that had rubbish on them, satelittle dishes and washing lines with underwear on them most of the time not what I want to be looking at on holidays, we said we didnt want that room and they told us we had to pay €240 extra for a pool view that we didnt book a room with a balcony on LOVE HOLIDAYS ( another place to steer clear of nothing but scammers ) when we went to look at that room yes it had a balcony but we had to literally look around the corner of a wall to get a glimpse of the pool so we said no and took the second room offered and paid extra.
The noise in the hotel at night is loud from TV's blaring to dogs barking from neighbouring apartments.
Beds are extremely uncomfortable and I came home with a sore back, they move and make noises whenever you are getting in and out of bed, pillow bad too and there is only one pillow per person. Only good thing was the room had a blanket to throw over us as it was cold.
You have to pay extra for the safe to use it.
Now to the bathroom as mentioned it is newly done BUT the door is literally a glass screen ( pictures attached ) that swings back and forth so no privacy so if you want to listen to your partner going to the toilet then you will be happy but it not tough luck.
So to sum it up would I stay here again its a strong no, the hotel on arrival looks lovely but once you go into the lifts and up to the rooms it all changes. We were told the hotel once was the place to stay and then it got old and alot of new builds around it, Torremolinos for me was a disappointment but warned there is building going on all over the place so very noisy in general in the area."
