"First impressions of the hotel were excellent, we arrived around 1am, receptionist was very welcoming and she gave us a little bag with a sandwich each, an apple and a pastry, as we had arrived late. The room was nice and clean and spacious with a separate bedroom for me and my husband , kids were on a pull out sofa. It had a little kitchenette , and there were two small bottles of water provided. We had also been left a bottle of cava and a little bag of treats for the kids which we thought was a nice touch.
The pool is nice and big with a separate pool with water slides , there is also a small park. The resort is actually quite small, has access to the beach across the promenade, beach was nice but will cost you €5 to use the sunbeds.
The food was great, probably the best we’ve had at an all inclusive, plenty of choice, different themes every night. One night they had a chocolate fountain and candy floss in the garden area. The snack bar was ok, has the usual burgers and chips and a self serve soft ice cream machine. They also did a bbq on the night of San Juan and a horse show ( would have been great to have had some more info about San Juan and learn some more about the local culture). I googled it and my daughter and I followed the locals for a midnight dip.
Just down the promenade about a 5-10 min walk is a small shopping complex , restaurants, ice cream etc. that is it though, there is literally nothing else around. There is a little train that you get on outside the hotel which taken you around the resort and to nearby Antilla, we went one day and came back within an hour as there was nothing to see. The info for the train is well hidden on the bookshelves by the front entrance.
Evening entertainment was fine, we didn’t see much of them as they were on quite late , but there was always something on, one night there was a market at the hotel, no information provided though so a lot of people missed it.
The animations team worked very hard and always lots of activities on such as a water carpet , aerobics etc. once a week there is a parade where all the staff from the different teams in the hotel come out to introduce themselves and have a little dance around the pool , we loved this , you could really see that all the staff have a great time working there and get on well.
Recommend the trip to Seville with Tui, expensive but worth it. I booked the cultural tour for £80, there was also an option to book a shopping trip to Seville, it’s the same bus with the same tour guide so if you want to spend leS and make
Your own way around the sights that is an option. Reccomend seeing the tui rep asap after arrival as she has info on excursions not abaible on the app.
Our room was cleaned daily . But any cups used will jot be replaced and you will
Not get any more water. Sheets only changed if you indicate they want them changing which was fine and more economical.
We found the pool area to be very dirty , the sunbeds are covered in dirt and grime , there are bits of tissue , hair , plasters etc everywhere under the sun beds . The area is not cleaned at all and it felt quite grimy by the end of the holiday. We didn’t rent a pool towel as nobody ever told us where to do that.
There is very little information provided by the hotel , you get a map of the hotel and the food times and that’s about it . Other I formation we found on screens around the hotel and in the lifts, however the lift we used to get to
Our room didn’t have a screen so we missed out on a few things.
The issue that makes this is a mixed review is that there are SO. MANY. RULES! The thing is none of the rules are communicated to
You when you arrive so you end up finding out about the rules by being told off or whistled at , which really was not enjoyable and ruined my day more than one time. Pool bar will not serve you at all if you’re not fully clothed, I understand for The food area but for a drink ? The only
Other place to get a drink is the small bar by the smoking area. Ended up that we just avoided getting a drink.
There are no inflatables allowed in the main pool, again not communicated to us (I found the sign on day 6 hidden behind a tree) , this was fine as we didn’t use inflatables, however my daughter and I were playing catch with a small
Plastic ball and were whistled at and told off, my son was playing with his plastic figures at the edge of the pool , not in the pool and was approached by the lifeguard and told he was not allowed to do so. This made no sense to us and seemed completely unreasonable and pedantic, especially as kids are literally wrestled off the end of the water carpet every day. The whistles are blown literally every few minutes of every day and towards the end of the holiday was really grating on us. The m
Lifeguards are just doing their jobs and following the rules, I suggest that management reassess the rules and ensure guests are fully informed on arrival to avoid this.
On our last day we were very disappointed to learn that we would not be permitted an evening meal (our flight was 11pm) despite the small amount of arrival information clearly stating that our all inclusive would be honoured until 11pm on the day of our departure. Reception told us this was because we had accepted the bag on arrival with the sandwiches etc. and they counted that as one of our 10 evening meals. We
Of course could not disagree more and felt we had been cheated out of a meal that we had paid for. Unfortunately we left feeling dissatisfied and frustrated rather than relaxed and recharged and would not return to this hotel."
