Hotel Cavtat

"Only a short stay but will definitely be back. The hotel itself is clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and full of choice. Grounds and pool very well kept. Massage facility on site and highly recommended to add a bit of relaxation to your trip. The hotel location is great near the port and close to all the restaurants. Lastly The hotel have a lovely bar. Do try the mai tai. Overall a great stay!!"

"Absolutely stunning location. Anyone considering visiting Dubrovnik might consider this small but vibrant resort just 15 minutes by car from the much larger city. Hotel immaculately clean,quiet and well positioned re centre of resort on foot ."

"We did not enjoy our stay here nearly as much as we hoped. The location itself is amazing right along the sea near many restaurants but for what we paid it was disappointing at best. We were in a balcony room and it was extremely small there was barely room for two pieces of luggage and to put our clothes away. The room was very hot upon arrival and took a long while to cool down. The situation with the pool loungers is abysmal in my opinion. I have never stayed at a hotel where you have to pay to use a lounger and while they give you a voucher for the bar we do not drink so it was useless to us. For how much we paid I think the loungers should be included. We did like the breakfast a lot it was on of my favorite parts of the hotel. The room was also cleaned excellently during our stay. We had two major issues that really upset me during our stay. First was that the air conditioner went out one evening, we had not been in the room much that day so it did not run and our room was over 80 degrees. It was so hot we could not sleep. We did not discover this until late in the evening (midnight) so we did not feel it could be fixed till the morning. Upon going to the reception desk in the morning they let us know that the whole building had lost AC for the whole buidling but it was being fixed. A simple letter under the door stating this when it happened would have been very nice, we thought we were crazy checking to make sure the balcony door was fully shut, the door into the room, and that we had not misused the thermostat checking several times. It left for a frustrating night and a little bit of communication would of went a long way! The second thing was that we had went to dinner one night and a storm came after we ordered so they could no longer serve us our food (it was the outside restaurant) we waited it out for a while but realized the storm would not end and asked if we could eat inside the answer was no. They would not let us move inside or serve us inside, I had to pick up a pizza down the street. I thought it was very rude not to serve hotel customers when something took place, there was no pivoting to help us. We felt like the hotel just did not care about us the entire time we stayed. In short we will not be back and will likely try one of the other hotels when staying in town again."
