"My boyfriend, a few friends and I stayed at the Side Zeugma for 7 nights in August, and overall we had a really pleasant experience. There were definitely some things we loved about the hotel, as well as a couple of things that we felt could have been better. Positives: Food 🍽️ The food was one of the biggest positives for us. There was a really good variety throughout the day, with plenty of different options to choose from, so we never felt like we were eating the same thing over and over. There was something for everyone, and the quality was generally really good. The waffles between 5–6pm were also a particular highlight! Relaxed atmosphere ☀️ The hotel had a really nice, chilled atmosphere. It never felt overly hectic or crowded, which made it easy to properly relax and enjoy the holiday. It was perfect for spending the day around the pool without feeling like you were constantly surrounded by people. Sunbeds We were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to get a sunbed. We never really struggled to find somewhere to sit, which made a big difference, especially during the busy summer period. Drinks ☕️🍺 The ice coffees were lovely and definitely became a holiday favourite! We also thought the beer was good quality and, unlike some all-inclusive hotels, it didn’t taste watered down. The freezing cold water dispensers around the hotel were also a great touch, especially in the August heat. Rooms 🛏️ Our room was lovely, modern and very clean. It was a good size and had everything we needed for our stay. The air conditioning was also really good, which was essential with how hot it was outside, and it kept the room nice and cool throughout the night. Location 🏖️ The location was another big positive. The hotel is so close to the beach, making it really easy to go between the hotel and the beach without having to travel far. It was also a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Staff ❤️ The staff were lovely and generally very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We felt welcomed and well looked after, and they always seemed happy to help when needed. Negatives: Swim-up room 🏊‍♀️ Our main disappointment was the swim-up room. We paid extra specifically to have this room, but unfortunately the pool was absolutely freezing and we barely used it during our stay. We understand that the temperature isn’t entirely within the hotel’s control, but as we had paid a significant amount extra for the swim-up option, we felt that we didn’t get our money’s worth. Personally, we wouldn’t pay the additional cost for a swim-up room again. Main pool We also noticed green linescale around the ring of the main pool. Although this didn’t ruin our holiday, it did make the pool look less clean and well-maintained than we would have expected from the rest of the hotel. We think this is something that could easily be improved with more regular cleaning and maintenance. Conclusion: Overall, we had a really enjoyable 7-night stay at the Side Zeugma and would say that the positives definitely outweighed the negatives. The food, relaxed atmosphere, clean and modern rooms, great air conditioning, friendly staff and close proximity to the beach all made for a lovely holiday. Our main disappointment was paying extra for a swim-up room that we barely used because the water was so cold, and we also think the pool maintenance could be improved. Aside from these things, we had a great time and would definitely consider staying at the hotel again — we just wouldn’t personally pay the extra for a swim-up room next time."
