"In my opinion this hotel is just ok, nothing out of the ordinary and nothing amazing. I definitely feel this is more a 3 star hotel and not worth the amount charged.
The hotel itself is nice and kept extremely clean, the staff are always visible cleaning everywhere. The communal toilets, poolside, bars and restaurants were spotless as was the outside seating area.
Rooms - were ok, we upgraded to premium rooms which has a double and single bed, the rooms are very basic with very small balconies but again were kept very clean and beds were comfy.
Air-con in the rooms - these were set to go no lower then 22 degrees and even in May the rooms were too warm. We asked several times to have them set lower to be told no. Unsure if this is reduced during the summer months but I would hope so as it would be unbearably hot.
Food - was decent, each meal was very samey and had versions of the same items each day and night, didn't bother me as there was still plenty to choose from despite it being the same kind if dishes, I was there for 7 days but I imagine if you are there for longer it may feel a bit repetitive, even so it was tasty, well cooked and stocked . I cannot stress enough however that if you have sesame allergy this is not the place for you to stay, to feel comfortable and at ease eating as it's everywhere. My son is anaphylactic to sesame and we hadn't anticipated how much sesame is used in Turkey, I imagine this is just country wide and I understand very hard to control but at this hotel it really was everywhere at every meal, breakfast in particular was very hard to avoid so he just didn’t eat breakfast most days. Lunch and dinner were slightly easier but it’s still rife and he had to eat mostly just protein for the week as that was the safest bet. We did speak to the chef’s on the first day about what dishes were suitable but they didn’t understand that it was severe and as such he shouldn’t have anything that may contain it so they were pointing out breads that were ok but these were stored within loads of sesame breads, that pizzas were ok but these were cooked in the same ovens as the fresh sesame breads so the seeds were everywhere in this area. No slight to the hotel as they clearly are widely used in Turkey, I just therefor wouldn’t recommend this as a safe place to stay or eat with that particular allergy.
Pools and slides - these were absolutely freezing, think plunge pool cold and therefor only had a couple of people use them the week we were there which is a shame as the hotel was busy and I had been looking forward to going in and using the slides with the kids but this just was not enjoyable for me. It may well be different in the height of season though. The would close at 4pm each day which is fine but we were at the top at 3:55 to go down when 2 people came behind us to use the slide with a double inflatable ring and were told they couldn’t use it as he was closing it behind us, there was still 5 minutes to go and he told them to walk back down the stairs with the inflatable ring instead of going down the slide, there was no other people waiting which was a bit ludicrous. The spa staff and photography staff constantly hover around the pool area trying to get you to buy packages, I get this is just a thing in Turkey but it does get a bit waring after a few days.
Entertainment - we didn’t really go to any so can’t comment however we were asked one night if we wanted to join in game of bingo and were happy to do so. We asked for a strip each, for 4 of us. Only to be told that it would be £15 per strip so £60 if we all wanted to play! They explained this was to allow them to buy prizes, however the bulk of the prizes were hotel related…a free popcorn at 4 euro, a massage at the hotel spa, 40% of bags at the hotel shop so this in my opinion was ridiculous. It did look like after most people were declining to pay they started selling individual games but these were still at a fair cost.
Drinks - pretty awful, I have no idea what cocktails people were drinking that they say were amazing in other reviews as we definitely didn’t have any of those. All cocktails were pretty much the same just some spirit with flavoured syrups in them, most of them tasting the same as each other and different in each bar. Only a few select spirits included in AI as well, a lot were chargeable. Kids constantly skipped in queues by adults if they were waiting on a juice, bar staff just ignored this and served the adults so several times we had to go and stand with them just so they could get a drink.
The area - similar to most places for a hot destination, there were nice bits and some pretty terrible looking bits. Essentially Antalya is just a row of hotels on either side of a dual carriageway and nothing more around it. Walks are short from one end to the other and every bit of the beach is owned by different hotels so although you can walk up and down you can only be in your hotels area, hotels line the beach the entire way also so if you’re looking to have a nice walk by the beach and stop at a few bars with an ocean view this is impossible.
All in all I wouldn’t recommend this hotel but it’s not terrible. I’m a bit confused as to all the glowing reviews on this hotel which makes me wonder if they are somehow paying for reviews as the hotel is honestly just run of the mill but each to their own."
