"We chose Bellis Deluxe expecting a true 5-star experience, but unfortunately our stay was marked by multiple serious issues.
The biggest problem was food-related illness. During our stay, I developed severe diarrhea and fever (up to 38.5°C), and I was not the only one in our travel group affected by digestive problems. Even after returning home, the symptoms continued and required medication and recovery time. While it is difficult to prove the exact source, this was the most serious issue we experienced during our holiday.
Another major problem was a strong unpleasant smell in our room, which appeared to be related to the air conditioning system. Despite multiple complaints, the issue was never properly resolved. What was particularly surprising for a hotel of this level was that the first response was sending an elderly cleaning lady with a cloth and a bottle of cleaning solution, who spoke only Turkish and clearly had no ability to diagnose or solve the problem.
The hotel's customer service was equally disappointing. Every time we contacted reception regarding the smell, we were transferred between different managers, each repeating the same phrase: "10 more minutes, we will solve it." In reality, nothing happened. We waited nearly 2 hours before a technician finally arrived.
Communication was another issue. Technical staff did not speak English, making it extremely difficult to explain the problem and find a solution. For an international 5-star resort, this is simply unacceptable.
The minibar service was also inconsistent. On multiple occasions it was either not refilled at all or only partially restocked. We repeatedly had to call reception and remind staff to complete a service that should happen automatically.
To summarize:
Health issues affecting multiple guests in our group.
Unresolved bad smell in the room throughout the stay.
Very slow and ineffective customer service.
Technical staff unable to communicate in English.
Minibar repeatedly not refilled properly.
Constant need to follow up on issues that should have been handled proactively.
Bellis Deluxe has beautiful grounds, good facilities and a strong reputation, which makes these service failures even more disappointing. Unfortunately, our experience was far below the standard expected from a luxury 5-star resort, and we would not choose this hotel again."
