"TL;DR: We had a genuinely enjoyable stay at Bellis Deluxe Hotel, with the zoo being a standout highlight thanks to exceptionally friendly staff (especially in the kids’ area). Overall, we’d rate it a 7 out of 10: great facilities and unique moments, with some areas that could enhance the overall experience.
Our Full Experience at Bellis Deluxe Hotel
Our time at Bellis Deluxe was memorable, and while not perfect, it had many strong positives.
Positives:
Location: The convenience of being near the airport was a blessing, especially with kids, and having Land of Legends close by made spontaneous outings effortless. We felt well-positioned to explore both the resort and nearby attractions.
Kids’ Facilities: This was a standout. The kids’ club was spacious, the playground lively, and the staff truly engaged. The kids’ pool was superb, warmed to a perfect 30 degrees, with a fun ship and multiple slides. Our children loved every minute.
Zoo & Horse Riding: The zoo was a unique experience we hadn’t had at other resorts. The staff there, like the horse guide, were incredibly warm and patient, adding a personal touch that made these activities extra special.
Cleanliness: The hotel was spotless from top to bottom. Housekeeping did a stellar job, even responding quickly when we needed a flickering light fixed.
Food & Entertainment: The food was enjoyable, with a range of dishes that kept us satisfied, and the entertainment was lively each evening, adding a fun atmosphere to our nights.
Spa: I must highlight the spa. My wife, parents, and I all agreed: it was one of the best massages we’ve had. The staff were professional, making us feel completely comfortable—10 out of 10.
Beach & Adult Slides: The beach was pristine, and the adult slides were exciting. It was clear the resort had thought of both kids and adults, ensuring plenty to do.
Areas for Improvement:
Arrival & Welcome: The initial welcome felt underwhelming. Nothing was thoroughly explained—where the restaurants were, meal times, etc.—just a quick mention of the QR code. While efficient, a personal, consistent greeting (even for late arrivals) would set a better tone. We noticed there was a greeter during the day, but guests arriving later missed that. Consistency is key.
Service Consistency: While some staff were excellent (the main bar lady was fantastic), the service wasn’t consistent. At Voyage Sorgun, every single staff member smiled, greeted us, and checked on us. Here, some did, others didn’t. I recognize everyone has off days, but that consistent warmth was missed.
Food Flexibility: Though good, food availability was rigid. In an all-inclusive, we’d love 24/7 snack options. Also, the rule against taking food out of the dining hall felt limiting.
We often had to go to the bar ourselves. At other resorts, staff proactively checked in on us. Having QR codes at tables or sunbeds would make ordering seamless and improve the experience.
Gift Shop & Taxi Pricing: The gift shop’s pricing was shocking—16 euros for nappies is extreme. Guests should feel cared for, not taken advantage of. The gift shop was as if an airport and cinema had a baby and then added another 20% on top. Prices were disgusting.
Similarly, a fixed 20-euro taxi fare to Land of Legends (when Uber is half that) left a bad taste. Fair, guest-friendly pricing would encourage repeat visits.
Sales Pressure: We felt pestered by frequent attempts to sell additional services (e.g., massages, photography). This detracted from the relaxation of an all-inclusive stay.
Finally, the cleaning lady would move our key everytime she left the room meaning as soon as we got back, the room was very stuffy! Ideally, leave the key in so the room is nice and cool when we get back.
Conclusion:
Bellis Deluxe has excellent facilities—a fantastic zoo, great pools, a top-notch spa, and memorable activities. If the service was consistently warm, more flexible dining offered, and pricing made fairer, it would easily rise to an 8 or 9. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning—especially if these improvements are made."
