"We have just returned from the most amazing 7 night stay at Parque Santiago IV in Tenerife and honestly cannot praise this place highly enough. This was actually our first time visiting Tenerife and after a disappointing experience at a resort in Lanzarote last year, I was slightly hesitant beforehand and wasn’t sure what to expect. I genuinely did not need to worry because this holiday exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived until the moment we reluctantly left, everything about our experience was exceptional.
We were checked in early as our apartment was ready ahead of schedule, which after travelling was such a fantastic start to the holiday. The staff throughout our entire stay were warm, welcoming, professional and genuinely accommodating. We also arranged a late checkout because our flight home wasn’t until 8:25pm and travelling with an 8 year old, being able to remain in our apartment until 6pm made such a difference. There was absolutely no issue arranging this and the additional charge was extremely reasonable compared to other resorts we’ve stayed in.
We stayed in Room 1317, a One Bedroom Superior Ocean View Apartment which was a duplex and it completely exceeded every expectation we had. The apartment itself was beautifully updated and immaculately maintained with stunning marble floors, a marble staircase, modern furnishings, plenty of wardrobe space and a fresh contemporary feel throughout. Everything felt spotless, spacious and very high quality.
The duplex layout was perfect. Downstairs featured a spacious living and dining area with an extremely comfortable sofa bed, dining table and chairs, flat-screen TV and a lovely relaxing atmosphere after long days out in the sun. There was also a downstairs which was incredibly convenient for a family stay.
Upstairs had two exceptionally comfortable beds pushed together, lovely pillows, another flat-screen TV and a large modern bathroom with a spacious shower and toilet. Shower gel/ shampoo was supplied in the shower which was another lovely touch. Having two toilets one upstairs and one downstairs, was a huge bonus and made the apartment feel even more luxurious and practical. There was also a safe available in the apartment at a very reasonable daily charge which gave great peace of mind during the stay.
The hairdryer also deserves a mention because I am very fussy about hairdryers when travelling and this one was honestly salon quality, powerful, modern and actually good enough to style your hair properly which is rare in hotels and apartments abroad!
Another thing we absolutely loved was how dark the apartment could be at night. Between the beautiful wooden shutters and the blackout curtains, the rooms stayed lovely and dark in the mornings. Our daughter is normally a 7am riser at home but we genuinely didn’t see her until around 10am most mornings which honestly never happens!
The apartment had two balconies and both overlooked the sea and the beautiful pool area which honestly made the stay even more special. The downstairs balcony had a table and chairs plus a clothes airer and pegs which was incredibly handy. The upstairs balcony featured two sun loungers and a pull-out sun canopy which was brilliant during the hotter parts of the day while sunbathing. Sitting there in the evenings listening to the ocean and looking out over the lights and pools was genuinely one of the highlights of the holiday.
The kitchen was one of the best equipped we’ve ever had abroad. It included a four-ring hob, separate oven, microwave, coffee machine, 50/50 fridge freezer and absolutely every utensil you could need from saucepans to cutlery. Even tea towels were provided which was such a thoughtful touch. You could very easily self-cater comfortably here if you wanted to.
The housekeeping deserves special mention because it was outstanding. Our apartment was cleaned every single day to an extremely high standard, we received fresh towels daily and the bedsheets were changed regularly throughout our stay. Everything was kept immaculate.
Another thing we absolutely loved was how peaceful and quiet the complex felt despite being in such a central location. Our daughter absolutely adored the holiday and the resort felt ideal for both families and couples alike.
The grounds at Parque Santiago IV are truly beautiful and without doubt some of the nicest we have ever stayed in. The pools were immaculate, one heated and one cooler pool, both saltwater and beautifully maintained with a lifeguard always on duty. The entire complex felt incredibly safe, relaxing and exceptionally well looked after. We also loved having access to the facilities at Parque Santiago III including the fantastic children’s slides and additional pool areas.
Another huge bonus was the convenience of everything on site. There was a lovely children’s play area right out the front which was brilliant for families, and having a supermarket attached to the property made everything so easy whether you needed snacks, drinks, sun cream or bits for the apartment. The resort also has direct access onto the sea promenade which was absolutely beautiful for morning walks and evening strolls along the ocean.
The location simply could not be better. Situated at the end of the Golden Mile, everything is within walking distance including restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets and even McDonald’s which was handy with a child. The beach is directly beside the complex along with gorgeous promenade walks and a beautiful beach club.
What really makes Parque Santiago IV stand out is the attention to detail and how exceptionally well run the entire resort is. Every single part of the experience felt effortless, clean, organised and relaxing. It is very rare to stay somewhere where you genuinely cannot fault a thing, but this was one of those places.
Without question this is one of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed in and we will absolutely be returning. We will also be recommending Parque Santiago IV to all our friends and family without hesitation.
