"We stayed here from the 8th-15th February 2026. We travelled as a family of 3 and we had a room with 2 separate bedrooms which was pool facing and situated above the pool bar seating area.
Our room was very spacious but I do think they are in need of modernization. A lot of the floor tiles in the room had de-bonded and you could hear a hollow sound when walking over them - they wasn't damaged or dangerous, they were just loose. The cupboards and furniture and general appearance just looked like it needed bringing up to date. I'd say the only thing that was a bit awkward in the room was the bathroom. It was poorly designed. There was a massive water heater tank mounted on the wall that you could easily bang your head on (I did). The sink is very close to the shower screen with only a small (around 12 inch gap) between to allow you access to the shower so if you're disabled or a large person (I'm disabled AND a large person), it was extremely difficult to enter the shower part. Also the water heater tank doesn't hold a lot of hot water so if there's a few of you showering in a short space of time, I'd advise to not take too long in there or it will run out.
I think they might be in the process of updating some of the rooms as there was banging and drilling most days from 9am onwards.
The maid service differs depending on what block you're in. We were in block 3 and maid service was 5 out of 7 days (none on Thursday and Sunday). The maid service was ok although I don't think they spend too much time in the rooms as a dead bug that was on the floor before cleaning was still there after the maids had been in the room.
We were self catering so didn't get any food so can't comment on that.
The on site shop is stupidly expensive - for example, 13 euros for a tiny inflatable ball. Have a walk and find things cheaper.
The price of drinks from the pool bar were reasonable. Some spirits are all inclusive (local branded vodka and gin etc.) and others are premium spirits. If you buy a cocktail that contains any of the spirits they use on the AI package, they'll pour this by eye (half a glass full) but then, if the other spirit in the cocktail is a premium brand, they will use a measure but because they've filled the glass half with vodka, you can't taste much else.
The pool was quite big and there are steps at either end with a handrail as well as the usual ladders around the pool. The main pool is all 1 depth (140cm) so not very deep. There is a kids pool too which looked quite shallow and had a little slide too. We also spotted a childrens play area which looked fun although not for other guests (like me) who were waken at 6am by screaming children using it.
Around the pool is quite slippy so you have to be very careful. There is plenty of damaged tiles in the pool - it does look like the pool area needs some renovation. Also the grates in the bottom of the pool looked quite dirty.
They did activates in and around the pool which was fun and there was no pressure to get involved.
We like to arrive back in our hotel on an evening and watch a little tv before getting into bed. Unfortunately, after a few days, our TV broken and I reported this to the reception around 4pm and they told us the maintenance man would come and fix it. When we returned to our room around 11pm, it hadn't been looked at. I rang reception and they lied to me and told me the maintenance man had checked it (I know for a fact he hadn't). They then lied to me again saying the problem is an outage in the hotel as other guests have reported the same issue and it would be fixed by the local company tomorrow. Our TV had lost picture totally - there was still sound but the screen was dead - no menu's or anything which if there was an outage, we'd still be able to get the menu's on the tv. Fast forward to the following afternoon, still the same so we rang reception again and the maintenance man did come after a short while and quickly diagnosed the tv as broken and replaced it with another (better) television. Quite disappointing that it took over 24 hours and several calls to reception to get this resolved and was lied to more than once.
Location is great, right next to the beach and on the strip too.
Just be weary of people leaving reviews on here for the other 'Coral Compostella Beach' which is the golf resort situated a bit further inland.
Would I stay here again? ... if the price point was ok then absolutely. If there's not much difference in price to stay elsewhere, I'd probably choose elsewhere."
