"Good location, close to the golden mile, plenty of shops and restaurants and the beach is a short walk away. The bus stops for the free buses to Aqualand, Jungle Park, Siam Park and Siam Mall are just a two minute walk away. The hotel/apartments are clean and basic, perhaps a little outdated in decor but thats just my personal opinion…. this wasnt off putting.
The pool area isnt massive but its a nice space, never struggled to find sun beds and it was never overly loud or rowdy so it was a quite relaxing to sit at. My only complaint here is that there are not enough parasols for the number of sunbeds so when its peak heat it can get uncomfortable. Also some of the parasols were in the wrong stands so when there was a bit of a breeze they fly out of the stands and someone could potentially be hurt…. maybe the staff could check these more often.
We didn’t eat at the pool snack bar but the food looked decent enough and plenty of people were eating here. Cocktail list is fairly small and in my opinion quite expensive for the quality. I had a Long Island Ice Tea and it tasted more like a vodka and coke.
We were bed and breakfast and I know a lot of people have said they enjoy the breakfast and theres something for everyone but personally I didnt rate it. Out of the 10 nights I stayed I went down 3 times, mostly for a coffee and a bit of toast. Thats not to say others might not enjoy it.
The wifi was particularly terrible in the apartments, constantly dropping out, particularly in the evening. We took our firestick to watch tv in the room at night with our son but more often than not it was pointless because of the constant buffering or just not working. We also had a day where the aerial for the tv was also not working so no tv at all (Ive read elsewhere this is a persistent problem)… again this might not bother some people but for families with kids this could be frustrating as your staring at the 4 walls if your in with your kids.
The air conditioning in the room was adequate although a bit dated so not as powerful as maybe more modern hotels. Theyre are signs down at reception for hiring units…. I think the air con should be adequate and people shouldn’t have to pay extra.
The cleaning and maintenance staff I found to be fairly friendly and always give a smile and a hello. The lady who checked us in after midnight was also very nice. The staff in the dining room/pool bar are some of the most miserable looking staff Ive ever encountered at a hotel in Tenerife. When you do enter for the breakfast you are not welcomed with a smile, pretty much grunted at. The pool bar staff practically throw your drinks at you. The staff in these areas really look like they hate their jobs. Other people have left really positive reviews about the staff being friendly and helpful, for me I didn’t find that to be the case. It felt like you were ruining their day by having the audacity to want to eat or buy drinks!
Having said that, my experience of the hotel was fairly positive and if I got a good deal I would return as it was definitely a good base in a quiet location. I know there are a lot of returning customers."
