"Stayed here for a week 5th-12th of May and all i can say is this hotel is nowhere close to a 4-star experience and I would argue it’s possibly even a 2 at best due to the mistreatment by staff and the hotels inability to provide a clean and safe environment for its patrons.
To start the stay at this cesspit was a birthday gift to me from my partner and from the moment we arrived there were issues. There are hidden fees everywhere in this hotel with us having to pay for the safe (22 euro in total, 10 deposit and 12 euro payment), which I’ve never encountered in any of the hotels, resorts or hostels I’ve stayed in around the world. Secondly due to us arriving early in the morning and check in not being allowed until 4pm we assumed we could leave our luggage with the hotel since it’s a “4-star” hotel, but not your directed to this small room in the right corner outside of reception which costs 2 euro Everytime you need to open the locker, this built up as we needed to access clothes, hygiene products and our passports.
Once we were checked in this is where my main issue with this hotel comes from, it’s not clean or is cleaned well period. Our room 5119 in the Judy garland wing was vile to say the least. We were informed that our room was due to be cleaned on Thursday so after being out all day 7am-8pm we expected to come back to a clean well maintained room this could be further from the truth. When we came in everything was exactly how we left it, additionally when my partner and I finally sat on the sofa provided in our room. This is where we made the disgusting discovery of a used cough syrup syringe (medical waste) that my partner touched with his bare-hands, he had severe medical anxiety and at first glance we thought it was a diabetic needle thankfully it wasn’t. I immediately went and informed reception who offered to Send a maid there and then but due to the time of night I requested they come Saturday instead, I also mentioned how upset this discovery made my partner and informed the front desk of how the ordeal affected his health anxiety and the male staff member laughed at me. This is completely unacceptable and this breach of health and safety standards is absolutely foul. Furthermore, after returning back to my room from reception my partner found a mouldy baby bottle under the sofa bed!!! Which led me to request a room change immediately, thankfully they did allow us a room change but that is the bare minimum a “4-star” hotel should be offering.
From that ordeal we moved to our next room 5123, the supposedly “cleaner” room. Maids did visit everyday of our stay from that point but we when further inspected our room we found, possible excrement stains on the sheet of the sofa bed and lipstick stains on the duvet of our bed under its cover. Additionally on our last two days of our stay a swam of adult and juvenile cockroaches started swarming the room, if your having to kill 4-5 cockroaches a night this is a systemic failure on the hotels part and breaches health and safety entirely. (If you look at other reviews I’m not the only one who mentions them).
My next big issue with this place is the issue with the food in the buffet, we had breakfast included in our stay and there were flies all over the food which completely turned my stomach. I tried to eat a couple of croissants and when I bit into one a file flew out of it. The hotel made no effort to avoid this issue for its patrons. Additionally the food is extremely low-quality and never settled well in my stomach due to the amount of Grease on some of the items. If you decide to stay in this disgusting hotel sorry excuse for a “four-star” do yourself a favour and get a taxi or walk to one of the many restaurants close by your stomach will thank you.
In conclusion, stay away from here there standards are rock bottom for everything, this wasn’t just a bad stay it was having to deal with unnecessary health hazards, rude staff and overall just disgusting conditions and if your expecting a 4-star experience keep your money and look elsewhere your wallet will thank you."
