Aguamar Hotel

"We just got back from 5 nights staying here for a little winter sun before Christmas, we stayed half board, 2 adults 2 children (3years & 5months) - we enjoyed our stay, nothing negative to say really! We paid 30€ for a taxi to and from the airport, literally took 15/20 mins. Hotel is in a great location, couple of bars, shops and a takeaway over the road, 5 mins walk to the bus station which has supermarkets, shops and bars/restaurants near by. 10/15 minutes walk down to the beach which was lovely. Hotel is very clean, all staff were lovely and friendly, always smiling, rooms were cleaned daily while we were there, clean towels left, the pool area was cleaned every morning too! Pool is slightly smaller than images show but still big enough, sunbeds are put out at 10am, no problems getting one although with how the hotel is, half the area goes into the shade part way through the day (around 2pm) There is a rooftop area with loads of sunbeds too. The park is enclosed & great for kids! You can pay for parasols and mats for the loungers but we didnt and i didnt see anyone else either - like mentioned, there is lots of area for shade if needed and the sunsbeds were fine for us with a towel on! There is a pool bar that serves drinks & food we didnt get anything but food looked lovely from what we saw others getting (mostly toasties & fries) There is a small soft play area with interactive games on the walls. I think it was for up to 4years. Again, very clean and tidy! There is a mini golf too which can be paid for Rooms are basic but has everything you need, we stayed room 210, it had a new shower with a waterfall style top and detachable shower head too, water pressure was fab & the hair dryer in the bathroom was pretty powerful too! No air con, ceiling fan in the living area and bedroom, only used once and it cooled down but peak summer may not cool as well. Food was okay, breakfast was good. Fresh bread rolls, pastries, full hot breakfast selection, yoghurts, salad, fruit, juice/coffee machine. Evening meals werent too bad, small selection, fridge with yoghurts and one dessert, fruit and salad bar. Not much for children but half way through the stay they started putting chicken nuggets, fish fingers, chips, onion rings out! Would be great if they had a little pasta & sauce, pizza etc. My little girl didnt eat much on an evening but she is fussy, we found something most nights and others we ate out! Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return!"

"Just back from a weeks stay here at the agumar apartments, no complaints check in was quick and easy room was basic for self catering had everything you needed, we stayed in room 110 above the bar and pool table area no view due to the small trees pigeons are a pain in the afse always on the balcony looking for food. Pool bar ok better get a glass pintt than a paper cup one as the male barman fills it right but we had the woman and its all foam and she just walks away, so we ended up going across to supermarket and buyin some tins although ur not meant to bring ur own. We only ate a couple of times here food was ok. One down side paid for the safe when we checked in then found out it isnt in the room its located on the ground floor in a security room with every other room safe never used it as wasnt wanting to leave valuables somewhere not close to us cost €40 got 20 back when handed key back. Local area is great pleanty bars restaurants smileys across the road for a toasties for lunch nice small bar 3 toasties 2 pints and a coke €18 bargin supermarkets next door kebab shop chip shop and other bars too, about 15 walk down to the beach. Nice area enjoyeded our winter break. Only down side is Wouldn't like to be here in the height of summer as the pool and sunbed area is small and i cohld imagine it would be sun bed wars every day, adult roof terrace was nice."

"Stayed at the aquamar apartments in November for 1 week they were a little basic but very clean and a really good size wirh a large balcony all the staff were excellent. The breakfast was cooked very well and always hot with lots of choice. The hotel was set in a lovely area close to some really nice restaurants Italian Chinese and Indian all gorgeous food. Looking to book again was value for money. It was my birthday while we were there and was left a bottle of champagne and 2 glasses which I thought was very nice of the hotel."
