Laguna Park 1

"This was our second visit over the Christmas period, so we’re well aware of what to expect,or we thought we did. Unfortunately other holiday makers treat the place as if they were the only ones there. Slamming doors, screaming, swearing ( even very young children and not mild swearing) to which was over looked by their parents or even laughed at. Late night drunken brawls. Yes the police were called several times in 6 nights. The night entertainment hall was dreadful ( not that we used it) only called to get a night cap for our room. Our room did have a fabulous sea view but a constant noise( bleeping) which kept us awake. Semi clean, couldn’t walk bare foot or you ended up with black feet. Drinks in AI very limited poor choice if you’re a wine drinker. Pool ice cold. Sun beds very uncomfortable, most guest sat perched on The edge or stacked up higher. Food was ok but Luke warm, they do start to clear away before the end of service so make you feel you have to leave. This place is probably better out of school holidays to visit. However this is just my opinion. No doubt others have no issues and will re visit."

"I know its only a 3 star and u pay for what u get but family 4 was expensive all inclusive .have been in lot hotels and never seen anything like this . Came on 31st for new year room ok cleaner every 2days don't mop or brush floors had to set traps for cockroaches. Reported to man at reception he called technician but done nothing. We had 2 kids all inclusive absolute waste of money nothing there for kids except snack bar . All we had was breakfast was just ok sausages not nice . Food was big let down .Alcoholic drinks waste of time only cocktail u have is cocktail of day changes every day. No alcohol in them would be drinkin all day u would be still sober same with spirits . Amstel beer in paper cups .Hotel is good if u were on stag party for 3 nights looking for lye down . Hotel in great location staff are lovely friendly. Entertainment man tries his best it's like a hall where Entertainment is it's very very bad . Maybe it's just time of year but Hotel seems very busy. We ate out every night lots nice places outside. No wifi in rooms no tv remote. Personally I would not return to this hotel or recommend for families with small kids . They do sell pizzas in snack bar frozen ones not freshly made there ok . Need to make alot of improvements big let down of a hotel for lovely location."

"First visit back to Laguna Park 1 since Dec 2019. We felt that in 2019 the rooms were homely, pool area was great where sunbeds were always available, food and entertainment were absolutely appalling. Now the place has been partly renovated. *Free safe is a great addition. *€10 refundable deposit for TV remote. *Cleaning was hit and miss. Towels need to be replaced, they are old. Cleaner came every 2 days which was good. Beds changed twice within the 10 days, again very good. Floors hardly brushed or mopped. One day we found the cleaner filling her mop bucket from our kitchen sink with just tepid water right beside where our dishes were sitting! Not very hygienic. *Rooms are now more modern than before but feel cold, they need some sort of colourful artwork to brighten it up. Stark white walks, skirting boards that let it down as they need replaced, beds and sofas are very comfortable, rooms need more bedroom storage, also needs bedside tables, small kitchen is adequate. *Pool area is still very good. Sunbeds available at any time of the day. Pool bar is fine although could sometimes do with more staff. *Food is slightly better. Breakfast was good. Lunch/ Dinner always had something available but probably not the best options for kids. Although the snack bar does offer the usual kids favourites as in burgers, nuggets, hotdogs, toasties etc. *Entertainment guy is brilliant, very hard working, very friendly, very encouraging, brilliant with the children but the acts available let his very hard work down. *Entertainments area is awful...more like a school dinner hall. I think that this area and the restaurant area, beside the pool, should be switched around. *Christmas and New Years food and entertainment were a great let down. *Hotel WIFI needs to be throughout the whole hotel not just in the lobby! *All inclusive drinks are woeful...don't know how I never once, in the 10 days, was affected by them. Yet once I was outside in the local bars the alcohol seem to hit me! *Majority of the staff were great, very hard worked but most still remained friendly. Special mention for barman Manuel, always smiling, friendly and funny. *Lots of great bars around the area...need to mention Rumpot, Beer Garden, Harleys, Scallywags, Wali Haii, Starbar and a recent new bar Boom Box Music Bar down near the Ibrox. All great bars, great cocktails, great staff, great entertainment.(no entertainment in Beer Garden) In hindsight I would return to Laguna Park One again as it is not the worst hotel, but probably as Self Catering or Half Board not All Inclusive as it was definitely not worth what we paid for it."
