"Arrival/Reception
We booked a 10 night holiday (or so we planned for) here for a relaxing getaway for both of us. We arrived at around 9.45pm after a long day of travelling (nearly 4 hours on a bus and then the 4 hour 50 minute flight). We arrived tired and hungry! At reception, they offered us a cold drink with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. We opted for water since we were thirsty! I asked at reception if they knew of anywhere around that we could go to grab something to eat and was told that they would be opening the buffet restaurant in the hotel at 11pm for the new arrivals. Check-in was quick, professional, and very friendly. We dropped our bags off in our room and came down to explore the hotel a little before having something to eat. First impressions were very positive. The evening entertainment was in full swing! At the buffet restaurant that night, we had tapas put on for the new arrivals which was ideal for that time of the evening!
Pool/Outside Terrace
The pool area was gorgeous, with plenty of sun loungers to go round, even if you fancied a lie in. The only loungers that seemed to go quickly were the loungers on the first row in front of the pool. We only used the loungers a couple of times since we're not big lounger people and we preferred to sit on the outside terrace. The outside terrace is lovely, albeit with a small issue with ?ring necked doves/pigeons? which obviously can't be helped as wildlife deserve to be there too.
Food and Drink
The food in the restaurant was great with lots of choice if you are open to trying new things. One of the things we enjoy about all inclusive buffets is being able to try food we haven't had before, without wasting money on a full meal if we don't enjoy it. We were able to try (and enjoy) food we hadn't had before such as oxtail, clams, and other types of seafood. There are also options for fussier eaters or children such as pizza, chips, burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets etc. The desserts were lovely and I'm sure we put on a lot of weight in the time we were there! The drinks were great and as expected, strong, with the exception of the cocktails that I'm sure were dangerous since you couldn't taste the alcohol, haha.
Entertainment
This was our favourite part of the holiday. The entertainment staff were first class and work so hard! We joined in the games during the day and Carlos, Alex, and Alba (who we played the games with) made sure we all had a blast! Shout out to all the entertainment team who put on a fantastic show a few evenings we were there and always made sure we were enjoying ourselves - Soi, Ines, Alex, Carlos, Alba, Szymon, Saray. I know I'm probably forgetting a couple of names so apologies to anyone I have missed. You guys made our holiday!
Bar and Wait Staff
These guys work so hard to ensure you have a great stay. There was always a smile from the bar and wait staff.
Housekeeping/Rooms
Housekeeping also work so hard (can you see a pattern here?) and have the rooms looking spotless. They certainly had their work cut out with me since I always untuck my duvet as I hate feeling constricted while sleeping. The sea view room we stayed in to start with (more on that later), was lovely with a great view of both the sea and the pools on the 7th floor. We don't tend to spend much time in our room anyway but the room was great.
The Extended Holiday
Both my partner and I are major planners. We always plan ahead and neither of us are spontaneous in the slightest. I have anxiety and so any change in plan makes me extremely anxious. We were booked to stay here until 16th June. By 13th June, we were discussing (half-jokingly) about extending our stay for a couple of days as we didn't want to go home. The night of 13th June, we decided to just go home on our planned date. The next morning, we agreed that if we went home on our planned date, we'd be kicking ourselves that we hadn't stayed longer. I called our travel agent to find out the logistics of extending and we changed our flight to the evening of 18th June. We booked our 2 extra nights direct with the hotel. Since there were no sea view rooms available, we booked a pool view room which was on a lower floor (3rd). This room hadn't yet been renovated as our previous room had but since we don't spend much time in the room, we were just happy to be able to stay! We recommend booking a sea view room as we believe these are better view-wise.
Conclusion
If you haven't yet booked this hotel and are still trying to decide, do it! We are already looking into coming back again soon. Thank you so much again Las Dalias for a fabulous stay!"
