If you like filthy hotels with rude staff and inedible food this is the one for you.
We had some time to kill before we could get in our room so after a very early start and a long morning of travelling, we decided to go to the pool side bar for a drink and some snacks, the restaurant wasn’t open for lunch until 1pm so we had the option of a food stand which was sat outside of the restaurant with uncovered trays of food on offer, burgers, chips, cobs and some lettuce which were all being enjoyed by the local pigeons and flys, lovely.
Upon asking the barman for a beer he clearly didn’t speak much English, poked his finger towards the pump and grunted to which we nodded yes, he then reluctantly poured one for us, after feeling like a massive inconvenience to said barman and us having paid for All Inclusive we asked if they offered any ciders or other brands of beer but there is none, just the one beer and some pre mixed cocktails that clearly weren’t made fresh each day.
When we checked into our room we were greeted with ants, dirt, broken furniture and the previous person’s hair all over the place (photos attached). When we brought this to the manager, Juan’s attention and asked that we be moved to another, preferably clean room we were again a massive inconvenience to him, lots of huffing and stropping about, bit like “Kevin and Perry”… you get the gist, He said he’d just been up and checked this alternative room and it’s ready for us to move to should we wish, well if that was his definition of clean, I dread to think what his house is like, this room was also dirty, hair everywhere, broken furniture etc etc (again….see photos attached).
Anyway, in the end we rang Jet 2 and after having to stay in this crap hole for two nights AND my partner enduring food poisoning being horrifically sick we were eventually moved to an alternative hotel close by for the extra cost of £250 (which Jet2 never offered to pay), the rep for Chatur playa real resort – Manu, couldn’t understand why we didn’t want to stay here as his words were “they came and cleaned the room for you?” with the tone as if we should be grateful! he totally missed the point, the room should have been clean in the first place and overall the hotel should have been how Jet 2 advertised it and it couldn’t of been further from the truth! Im pretty sure if Manu arrived in that hell hole with his family he wouldn’t want to stay either, unless his standards are the same as Juans, who knows!
He also told us we had to find the alternative hotels and then he would check what availability they had? Surely as our rep he should of sourced the available hotels for us, not me doing the leg work for him whilst on HOLIDAY!? Lazy.

We are shocked that Jet 2 put their name to this “hotel” as we’ve never had a bad one with them before, the photos and write up in their brochure for this place IS NOT what you actually get/see, definitely do your research if you are considering staying here but I can categorically say id recommend you find somewhere else."
