"I liked this hotel a lot. It's small and in a good location and the food was good.
Check in - slow, as we had to fill in a paper sheet per person with a pen, all the hotels I've been to for years have done this by computer. Not given info on where to go or how stuff worked, told we could go for lunch while waiting for the room but not told where that was - it's a small hotel so not rocket science but still felt a bit careless.
Room - reasonable size and includes kitchen area, kettle, fridge and table and chairs. I believe all the studios face the pool, and then there a few bigger apartments facing the street. This is not the place for you if you want to flex about your room on insta - the fridge was rusty and the floors were scuffed, but I don't care about that if it's clean. A room safe is available for a small fee, can't remember what it was but it was much cheaper than what we paid in our hotel in Palma Nova last year, maybe €10 and last year was €30? Aircon was powerful but had a mind if it's own, and stuff was a bit random - our room the bedside lights didn't work, my parents room next door the sofa cushion was missing. The shower was powerful though the floor did get a bit wet. Cleaners came every other day, which I prefer than every day, they just really sweep round and give towels and loo roll. We had the exact view on the Jet2 website from our balcony, ground floor studios with higher numbers are the worst rooms in my opinion, they look into the back of the stage and into the restaurant, I'd avoid those as they've no view and I bet they're dark all day. Balcony is a decent size with an airer and plastic chairs, but beware it also has the Aircon box from your next door neighbour blowing hot air onto part of it!
Food- I think this hotel punches above it's weight on food, considering it's small there's a lot of variety. If you're a meat eater you'll have loads of choice, it could be better for vegetarians with a bit more thought, eg if the pasta has meat in the soup should be veggie - some days the pizza, chef's salad, vegetables, soup and pasta sauce all had meat in and some days none did! Sometimes traditional Mallorcan foods were available, and the desserts were better than the usual tasteless cream things you tend to get in Spanish AIs. AI snacks are put out in the restaurant to help yourself between meals - chips, burgers, chicken etc, but the day before we left I found an AI snack menu on the bar, so possibly you can order different snacks included in the AI? I don't know, this is one of the things not explained to us at check in. I was a bit worried when I found out that guests at the hotel across the street also share the restaurant here, but we had no trouble getting a table and no queuing for food at any meal. The tables are all outside under an awning, I thought it might be too hot but it was fine. Service at the bar can be slow, it's annoying if you're just waiting for a refill of coke and the one bartender is mixing 4 cocktails individually, but I suppose they can't have self serve soft drinks as not everyone is AI. They use tokens for the AI drinks as a lot of hotels do now. There's no water provided in the room and nowhere to refill a water bottle, this would be a big improvement as bringing water back from the shops means carrying it uphill in the heat, not my favourite thing. The supermarket to the left at the roundabout is cheaper than the one near the beach.
Pool - I was worried the pool would be too small, but it's fine as it's a small hotel so less people in it. The pool is fenced off at night until it opens in the morning at 10. They have a collection of floats etc which people have left behind, which is a lovely idea but because people don't own them they tend to use them for a bit then just leave them floating about. In a small pool if you've got two adult size rings two full size lilos and a giant ride on pink swan all floating about empty, it doesn't give you much room to swim! Maybe the hotel could enforce floats only being used at certain times or something - though that would require the lifeguard to get off his phone. Sunbeds are stacked up every night but it doesn't stop the keen types block booking them for the day first thing. I laid on a sunbed once in 7 days at about 4pm (I spotted it was free from my plastic chair on the balcony!). The hotel doesn't remove towels left to reserve sunbeds (again, something the lifeguard could do if he got off his phone). There is artificial grass round the pool but I didn't find it was hot or slippy as others have said. You can rent pool towels for free they just take a deposit (also not told about this at check in but I'd looked it up).
Activities - there's a pool table and a table tennis at the front of the hotel (the white ball mysteriously didn't appear one day and the young woman at reception couldn't care less and wouldn't refund my €2, but it was either returned or was replaced the day after so maybe another staff member had a bit more interest. My kids are too big for kids club, but the little ones were doing stuff like t shirt decorating and pizza making and there seemed to be a kiddy disco. From the little I saw of it the evening entertainment was mainly dancers and for some reason a lot of Michael Jackson appeared to be a feature! I believe there was also a magic show and acrobats, but we didn't watch it so can't say about that.
Beach - the beach is 300m away down a hill, as well as bars, restaurants and tourist shops. It's a lovely beach and the sea is extremely calm in the bay, even my elderly mum who is a nervous swimmer had a swim and enjoyed it. It was so hot in the day that we went to the beach after dinner, so I can't say how much sunbeds are or how busy it gets in the daytime. Swimming in the sea there as the sun set was beautiful, and we saw quite a few fish snorkelling (us snorkelling, not the fish snorkelling). My dad found the walk back up the hill a bit much but to be fair it was pretty humid and he is 80, it shouldn't give any issues for anyone without mobility needs.
So in conclusion, I'd go to this hotel if you want somewhere smaller, close to a lovely beach, and with good AI food. Don't come here if you want action packed activities or slickness. I'd come here again, if they tweaked the food to be slightly more vegetarian friendly and they provided a water fountain to refill bottles, it'd be pretty much ideal."
