"We (2 adults & 14 daughter) really enjoyed our stay at FlipFlop and Santa Ponca. The location was brilliant: several places to go for swim within minutes walk away (incl. the more popular/crowded in the centre, and smaller Es calo den Pellicer sandy cove beach; and several other rocky spots with steps to enter the sea). The larger beach in town has much space for playing football/volleyball (you can get a ball for EUR 5-10 in a nearby shop). The town centre with different restaurants and food shops (agromarket, BIP, etc) is equally close. Our favourite restaurant was Mercader del Mar - pricy but truly enjoyed the gastronomic experience and sunset sea views. FlipFlop is about a 10 min walk to Zoea diving/SUP/kayak centre (we enjoyed SUPing, kayaking to Malgrat island so much that ended up doing Discover Scuba Diving with them - can recommend). Zoea also organise pick up for diving if needed. Bus (103) to Palma main station takes about 30min and cost EUR 2.70 per ride with a debit card (EUR 4.50 when paying with cash). There are variety of boat trips organised from Santa Ponca beach. We did a fast boat swimming trip with Cruise Cormoran, and enjoyed that esp the cave swim. The apartment itself was functional and worked out well albeit would have benefited from a lick of paint or plastering. Aircon worked (we were top floor and initially sceptical whether it'd be too hot - but it wasn't). Moka pot for coffee was a nice addition. We had no issues with WiFi (which was commented on in some reviews) but then we didn't use it for streaming, etc. Fridge and electric hobs (2) worked well. There was a basic iron/board that we used once or twice. TV is mainly Spanish channels and some intl news ones. Overall atmosphere in FlipFlop was calm and quiet. On the first night someone was briefly making more noise but it did not disturb us. Indeed we had no issues with sound insulation which someone had flagged in the reviews. All blocks seemed solid built. Towels were changed twice within the week and cleaned once (as we didn't need a second cleaning). Most other guests were either young adults or families with smaller children. So unfortunately there wasn't the same age company for our daughter which was a downside. We used the pool and poolside every day. There is a communal room for eating, watching TV etc next to the pool. For our needs, the space would have benefited from a pool table or table football etc. There is a library with a selection of different language books in the room for reading. We brought a small kitchen knife (based on previous reviews) which was helpful as the one(s) provided were rather blunt; and some bin bags, salt/pepper/seasoning/olive oil/washing up liquid/sponge/ cloth which all proved useful. There is a small welcome cleaning pack provided (little washing up liquid, small sponge and a cloth). We would not hesitate visiting again !"
