"Four of us had a fabulous holiday at BLUESEA Cala Millor and thought the all inclusive was incredible value for money based on what we had paid for the holiday.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, just minutes from the beach and main street with bars and restaurants, and a slightly longer walk / short taxi to Cala Bona.
*Rooms*
It looks like the hotel has 4 'blocks', with block 1 being the main one where the reception / dining room / main pool and pool bar is. Block 2 was across the road from reception and had its own pool.
We were allocated rooms 1310 and 1311 on the 3rd floor in the main block. These rooms overlooked the third block at the back of the hotel so no 'view' as such. The rooms were very clean, housekeeping worked very hard. A safety deposit box was also in every room, which you could pay to use and get the key at reception. Although there was air con, it wasn't as effective as we needed during some very hot days! We did end up using our hand fans quite a bit to try and cool down. The walls were a little thin; silicone earplugs are a holiday essential for me anyway though - I always end up next to the bonkers!
The 2 lifts to the rooms were all in working order but could be slow during peak times and fit max 4 people.
*Dining*
Couldn't fault the choice on offer every day, you'd have to be incredibly fussy not to find something you liked. Breakfast included hot (bacon, sausage, eggs beans, potatoes) and cold (fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pastries, meats, bread), and there were coffee and juice machines around the room. For lunch / dinner there was always a salad bar and a variety of hot food - lots of meat / fish dishes. Chips, pizza etc for those a little fussier! Wine and beer was available from self serve stations. There were posters confirming dietary requirements would be catered for. The staff were all wonderful and worked very hard for such a busy area, they are a credit to the hotel, with a special mention to Antonia, who was incredible and so smiley every day!
*Pool Area*
The pool area was always busy and sunloungers taken. On our first day a lady by the pool told us the first lot of people came down around 5.30 am to put towels down, which is quite frankly insane behaviour. The next day, the reception team had stopped anyone putting towels down so early, but by 9am every morning there were no spare loungers. This wasn't important to us as the beach was so close and we wanted to explore but for some people those days relaxing by the pool are an important part of the holiday.
*Pool Bar*
Worked on a system where you pay 1 euro for a plastic cup you take to the bar each time (where they wash / give you a new cup for your drink). Drinks were strong, service was quick. Most standard local spirits, mixers, beer and wine, with 2 frozen / slushie cocktails. We tended to stick with tinto de verano which isn't technically on the menu but is half red wine, half Fanta lemon. The staff at the pool bar aren't the friendliest bunch but they're also stuck in the heat / outside for hours serving slightly inebriated English people who can't say gracias properly so I can't blame them.
We enjoyed sitting at the pool bar just before the dining room opened at 7pm, much quieter and lovely when the sun was setting.
There was another bar over the road at block 2 and there had been some confusion about whether this was all inclusive or not. There is a bar inside that serves drinks for all inclusive guests (same plastic cup rule), and the sitting area for this is on the side street near the entrance for block 2. On the main street is a separate bar area, open to anyone. This isn't included and it's where the entertainment was every night, but this was entertainment anyone walking past could also see, so not necessarily the hotels 'entertainment'. If you were sat at the side, you could still hear it though!
*Accessibility*
Not required for ourselves but the hotel was very accessible. Ramps and ample space for wheelchair users both getting into the hotel and the dining room, and the pool even had a ramp into it. There was also a large accessible toilet outside near the pool."
