"Just back from our stay with my Husband, my Mum and my two additional needs children (9 year old son and 4 year old daughter). We stayed for 7 nights (All-inclusive Plus) on the first floor in room 145. I came here a couple of times when I was a child with my Mum & Dad (sadly my Dad is no longer with us), and have only ever stayed in pool view rooms previously. It meant a lot to me that I could now bring my own family here to make memories of our own!
The room was very basic... we were at the back of the hotel and looked out onto what I think was the hotel's loading bay which was quite noisy late at night and first thing in the morning. However, the room was clean and served it's purpose. The beds were very comfortable and having my Mum just next door in room 147 was a big help. We loved how the room key was attached the the all-inclusive wrist band... we didn't have to worry about losing it!
One thing to point out though is that the walls are VERY thin... if I sent my Mum a message, I could very clearly hear her phone ping as if she was in the same room. On our 5th day, the couple next door to us in room 143 were arguing for most of the day, then when we brought the children back to our room that night to settle them into bed , the man next door was making some horrific noises as though he was in extreme pain. I panicked and ran down to Reception for help, and the member of staff came straight up with me. Thankfully it was a false alarm and it turned out he was just vomiting. But it happened quite a few times during the night which woke up all up several times... we were so tired the next day!
Staff are all extremely helpful and friendly... one young man behind the bar was especially happy and you could see he really enjoys his job. Every day, housekeeping would greet us as we walked past, and our non-verbal daughter learned how to say "hola" to them!
Lots of lovely things for children to do. Because our children have additional needs, they didn't want to do the kids club, but we used the kids pool every morning, which they loved. We used the sunbeds next to the kids pool and it was good to see a lifeguard there... it gave us extra reassurance because both of our children have no sense of danger due to their needs. Our daughter loved the smaller splash pool while our son preferred the bigger one right next to it. It was easy to keep a close eye on them both.
The children especially loved the Mini Disco... both children are usually reluctant to take part in anything that includes dancing but they both joined in every night and had lots of fun! Special shoutout to the guy in the entertainment team... he always made an extra effort with our children and ensured they felt seen and included!
On our 4th day, we went to the indoor stage to watch the Parrot Show which was brilliant! You could tell the birds were very well cared for and enjoyed what they do! Definitely recommend watching from the front if you can!
The food is lovely with a good selection, but repetitive every day (with additional needs children, this wasn't a bad thing for us). They do have themed evenings for dinner. Our children are very fussy eaters but they manged absolutely fine.
We went up to the Sky Bar a couple of times and the views alone are well worth the visit. Although the bar up there is adults-only (and not part of the all-inclusive package), children are allowed up there for photos... we got some brilliant family ones thanks to a very kind barman who offered to take the pictures! If my Dad was still here, he would have loved it up there!
The location is what makes this hotel so special... right on the beach, which is lovely and clean! The sea was beautiful... just like stepping into a warm bath. The only thing we didn't like was the amount of people trying to sell you things on the beach... we were approached by 5 of them within the first few minutes.
We got up very early one morning to watch the sunrise on the beach and I can't put into words how absolutely stunning it was... definitely worth the early wake-up call!
To summarise, if you want peace and quiet at night, it would be worth paying extra for a better room. It's a great hotel for families, and from our experience, very inclusive for those with additional needs.
We're definitely planning to visit here again in the next couple of years or so, but maybe we might try and upgrade our room next time.
Thank you for having us and for helping us to make some beautiful memories... it's not "goodbye", it's "see you next time" 🥹💕 x"
