"We’ve had a great stay here overall so far and have been really impressed with most of what the hotel has to offer.
The food has been mostly great, with a good variety and plenty of options to choose from. The entertainment has also been really good, with a nice range of things going on throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed the movie quiz, which was great fun. The pool area is well organised too — we really like the system they have in place for the sunbeds, as it stops people from simply getting up at the crack of dawn and reserving every bed around the pool. The pool bar is another great touch and makes it really convenient when you’re spending the day there.
A special mention has to go to Daniel at the bar, who has been fantastic. He’s funny, friendly and really attentive, and always seems happy to have a chat and make sure everyone is looked after. He’s definitely been one of the highlights of our stay.
The staff in general have been very friendly and accommodating, and you can genuinely see how hard they all work, which deserves recognition.
Our room is on the smaller side, but the bed is really comfortable and, despite the size, you have pretty much everything you could possibly need, so we can’t complain (apart from water for the room).
There are a couple of things that did initially leave us a little surprised, though. For an all-inclusive hotel, we were quite shocked that bottled water isn’t included. We arrived at around 5am after a delayed flight, so having to pay €2 for a bottle of water immediately upon arrival wasn’t the best first impression. We feel that, at the very least, there should be bottles of water available in the room fridges for guests arriving, particularly those arriving in the early hours after a long or delayed journey and especially as it is a basic necessity. It would make such a simple but meaningful difference.
We also found it unusual that you have to pay €1 every time you want to change your beach towel, as this is something we haven’t experienced at other all-inclusive hotels.
When we were looking at the hotel itself when booking, the drinks available on the all inclusive package was a big deal to us, however it transpires that the ‘all inclusive’ cocktails are generally pre-made and there is actually a limited amount of what you can have which I don’t think was truly reflected when booking. The drinks aren’t bad but I like to have a variety especially as I don’t drink a lot and cocktails are something I really enjoy. I think more variety could be added and freshly made cocktails would make a huge difference.
We hired a car via the hotel for one day that we wanted to go exploring and this was a simple process, making it really easy and hassle free. Picked up the keys from reception in the morning and then dropped them off again at the end of the day. The price was really reasonable for what we needed the car for and what size we needed for the four of us to sit comfortably.
That said, the slightly negative things aside, we’ve really enjoyed our stay so far. The hotel has a lot going for it, the staff work incredibly hard, the atmosphere is good and there’s plenty to enjoy without it being a huge resort.
The hotel is in a really good location, a short walk from the beach and local shops, the harbour is a short walk away which has lots of shops and bars and restaurants if you fancied food or drinks out of the hotel for a change of scenery. Alcudia old town is also a 20 minute walk which isn’t bad at all and is mostly straight.
Overall, it’s been a great holiday so far and we’d happily recommend the hotel, with just a few small areas that could have a few changes."
