"Had a lovely stay ,weather was lovely ,
OUR PERSONAL REVIEW
1, location ..hotel to the marina nice walk there & back if your fit and able my wife wasn’t as recovering from a broken back I think taxi was around €4 each way , market day tues and Saturday ( I think) .. you can walk into playa Blanca town I was told about 50 mins to an hour we went by taxi €6 each way we loved it there a very nice sea front with hundreds of crabs all over the rocs fascinating to watch them all plenty of souvenir shops but also some nice shops boutiques restaurants etc …
2, hotel… area around hotel nothing much about down the little road opposite outside main entrance at the bottom is a couple shops & a bar but that’s about it . A little beach just below hotel but we didn’t go , patio areas around hotel was well looked after ,some tiling work going on but nothing that interrupted us , pools was lovely but cold ,I preferred the Jacuzzi , same old same old ,selfish people putting towels on sunbeds at crack of dawn but a lot not returning until later in day .. one good thing is you get tokens for free to use beach towels so you don’t have to take your own they are very big and soft too , there is plenty of sunbeds , you can always get one they are different areas which is nice but not always at side of the pools ,need more umbrellas & maybe little tables , there isn’t waiter service which suited us but heard someone complaining that they had to walk up to get a drink it was only a couple minutes walk at the most to the pool bar and little food place , a couple of toilets around pool and bar , there was some sort of golf think it was crazy golf but nothing sure , also pool tables ping pong and ice hockey tables in the hotel for you to enjoy there is also a cupboard with books in what others have read for you to take ,
3.. Entertainment we watched a couple of things a singer and a magic show which was ok also games to join in around pool yoga on a morning and bingo everyday at 3 .
4… rooms …we had a lovely room we asked for a walk in shower & we got one it had toilet, double wash basins and bidet also hairdryer shampoo body wash moisturiser soap , we had room g1050 with pool and sea view floor 8 it had air con a safe box you paid for that think it was €3 a day and a returnable €20 deposit for key , the rest of the room was a decent size sliding wardrobes with shelving and hanging space (only 6 coat hangers ) small sofa unit for tv and kettle etc small fridge a bottle of water on the first day but the hotel had water stations you could fill your own bottles at .. also there was a few coffee & teabags (we took our own ) apart from the wardrobe and two towel hooks in bathroom they wasn’t any in living- bedroom area for coats etc maybe a couple could be put up plenty of wall space .
The housekeepers did a good job we put the do not disturb on our door so only asked them to do bins emptying and bedsheets Towels twice in the week which was plenty for us .some people complained about their rooms been rough around the edges I can honestly say ours was fine clean tidy etc only thing that I noticed and it didn’t bother us in the slightest was the long mirror in the living room losing some of its clearness near the bottom everything else was spot on and you get two beds pushed together and they was so comfy we had some great nights sleep and suited us fine been far apart when it was really warm . You did get people slamming doors but it wasn’t too bad .
5… Food/bars
We was A/L not elite , the food was lovely always plenty to choose from from fresh cooked meat chicken, chops , veal pizzas paella, salads pasta dishes seafood, loads different salads chips nuggets etc fruit puddings / breakfast cooked or continental lots of variety at every mealtime in the main restaurant , drinks on tap wines beer fruit juices fizzy drinks Coke Fanta etc water teas coffee also posecco for every mealtime , in the pool bar it was fresh sandwiches, burgers , chips, salads etc same drinks across from there is the pool bar they also do ice cream , pina colada and moijto slushies every drink at the pool bar is in paper cups but you can take a plastic glass or cup if you wish . If you drink non alcohol beer they don’t have it on tap you have to ask for it and they bring you bottles forgot the name but it was quite nice .
6.., staff .. the reception staff wasn’t very friendly but I suppose they were busy but on way out we handed our key in not have you enjoyed your holiday hope to see you again nothing not even good bye which we thought was a bit rude , restraunt staff was helpful always busy and not very talkative pleasant enough with a smile here and there .
On arrival at the hotel about 1pm we was told we could leave our bags in a store room was checked in give our ble all inclusive band told room wouldn’t be ready until 3pm but we went and had food a little wander around hotel and then back for key at 3pm some people wasn’t happy especially the people who had come earlier than us and stil had to wait
Overall we really enjoyed our time at the hotel but because of the location into playa Blanca with walking etc I think we would stay more central next time I know taxis are not very expensive but if your doing it twice a day all the week it starts to add up , if we was just looking for a lazy holiday staying around pool all week we would definitely stay here then."
