"We have recently returned from our latest holiday at Sandos Atlantic Gardens and as always, we had the most relaxing and enjoyable time.
We arrived at reception and were absolutely delighted by the bungalow allocation. A fantastic view over to Fuerteventura and as we personally do not attend the evening entertainment but choose to sit on our balcony enjoying the views, it was just perfect. Many thanks to reception!
Our arrival was mid-afternoon and after locating our bungalow and dumping our luggage, we immediately headed to the pool and had no issues locating sun loungers.
The staff, as always were friendly, efficient and couldn’t do enough for you. Reception again deserve a mention as they assisted me in making a booking for an appointment during my stay at a local hairdresser. Big shout out to the very lovely Manuela who always has a smile, Victor who is like a whippet, no sooner have you finished with a plate, he swoops and it is gone with his megawatt smile! Mentions also go to Hector, Diego, Taylor, Yessi and the newly promoted Hugo and to all the other waiting staff, a big thank you.
Also, although we never manage to get their names, we would like to say a huge thank you to the cleaning and gardening staff. The bungalows are cleaned daily to the highest standards and the gardens are a delight to view. Please know that even though us guests do not say “thank you” every day like we do the bar and waiting staff, Atlantic Gardens would not be the same without your hard work.
The individual bungalows are one of the main reasons we return time and time again. A front patio, lounge with sofa bed, kettle and brew kit. A bottle of water (refillable in the bar area with cold, ambient or sparkling) a larder fridge, TV and air conditioning unit. We leave the bedroom door open so that the cold air circulates. The beds are large and comfortable and made daily. There is an obvious socket point in the bedroom on the wall but there are also sockets inside the shelves of the bedside units and USB charging point on the under part of the bedside lamps. The bathroom leads to an enclosed rear patio for hanging swim kits and towels.
All meals are buffet style and varied. Breakfast offerings include cereals, breads, cooked, continental, yogurts, fruit and include all our favourite UK condiments! HP, Heinz Tomato Sauce and Lea & Perrins Worcester Sauce!
Lunch and dinner again provide many varied options, each with signage in English. There is always a salad bar & breads and rolls. Meats, poultry, fish, pastas, assorted potato options, veg, casseroles, etc. Wine and Sangria are served to your table in carafes, whilst beer, pop, water, juice etc are self-serve.
One disappointment for me on this holiday is that they have ceased providing prosecco at the lunch sitting, it is now only provided in the evenings.
The grounds, as the name suggests, are simply stunning. There are an amazing array of beautiful trees and plants and lovely seating areas dotted here and there. The view from our bedroom into the enclosed rear patio was of a bougainvillea plant growing over the wall!
As always, we bumped into many guests who we have met on previous holidays and it is testament to the whole package that Atlantic Gardens provides that so, so many of us return. Like others have stated, we are apprehensive about the upcoming renovations and we all hope, that it is merely an overhaul and updating of the venue, and not that you lose the things we love so much that keep us returning! Quiet pool area, no music, no balls or inflatables. Amazing staff who really go the extra mile to make the place as good as it is!
We have already booked to return in April 2026 and are planning a final trip just before the renovation work begins in November 2026 and we will then book again when you reopen and hope to find the ethos of Atlantic Gardens, unchanged."
