Paradisus by Meliá Salinas Lanzarote

"We were there for ten nights from October 7th and had paid for "Reserve" benefits. We had a very good stay and the staff were excellent. Food was very good and we used the main restaurant most of the time. Booking one of the other restaurants is not easy and booking early on arrival is recommended. The gym is modern and there are several outdoor exercise classes. We were on the fourth floor and the lift system worked in a timely fashion. We went on two trips : to Teguise (the former capital) and to a winery. We enjoyed both. There was entertainment on most evenings but it would start at 2130 or 2200, a bit late for many. We used the Reserve pool bar/cafe on several occasions. It had a decent menu and attentive staff but guests were often pestered by pigeons. As stated above food was very good with a wide range of choices. Getting cold milk in the evening for tea or coffee in the main restaurant was a problem, however It was available for breakfast and lunch. Overall, a very good hotel with lots of clean, modern areas inside and out. There are walks east and west of the beach area and plenty of local shops/restaurants if needed. The hotel's architecture is unusual and adds to the atmosphere of the place."

"What a beautiful hotel! Wonderful staff who did everything they could to make the stay a happy and personalised one. Facilities were amazing. Glorious outdoor pool, beach a stones throw away and the coastal path in both directions making walking or cycling easily accessible. The hotel itself is distinctive and we enjoyed staying in a venue that was of architectural significance to the island. Food and cocktails were a highlight. We were a group of 7 and there was something for everyone to choose and enjoy every day. Entertainment and activities were great quality and lots of variety without being intrusive. Never expected to see my 80 year old parents enjoying the aqua aerobics as well as candlelit piano and singing concert! Rooms felt quite simple in style but the design was so practical it wasn’t an issue. We also didn’t spend much time indoors so really not a problem. Balconies a generous size too. If I could change one thing it would be to have more dietary info on food for vegetarians/vegans. Apart from that, Bravo! Holiday of a lifetime ☺️"

"This is a lovely hotel and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We were in the reserve which has its own pool and bar area and it was very clean and well kept. The pool is salt water and very well maintained as are all the sun beds. We met so many people that are return visitors which goes to show how happy guest are with their stay. The rooms are spacious with air conditioning. The dress code is less formal than I thought so although people dressed nicely, it was quite casual. There is entertainment every night but it doesn’t go on too late so noise is not an issue. Just outside the hotel there is a promenade on the edge of the beach that leads to a variety of shops, bars and restaurants if you do want to get out. We will definitely return!"
