"We stayed at Ibiza Rocks for a hen do from Monday to Friday and overall had a really good stay.
We had booked a basic room with breakfast, but on check in were upgraded to a room overlooking the main pool and party area, which was a nice surprise.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a little dated in places. The air conditioning worked brilliantly throughout our stay, which was a lifesaver in the Ibiza heat. The safe was included, which was a nice touch, there was also a fridge in the room, and one feature we absolutely loved was that your room key was built into your wristband, meaning there was no panicking every five minutes wondering where you’d put your key card 🤣
The only thing I missed was having a kettle and tea or coffee making facilities in the room. I appreciate this is quite common in European hotels, but I do like a cup of tea while getting ready or first thing in the morning, so it would have been a welcome addition for me.
One thing that really stood out was how well maintained the hotel was. Every single morning without fail, the pool areas were thoroughly cleaned. Staff were out early hoovering the pools, jet washing around the poolside and generally making sure everything was spotless before guests started using the facilities. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and genuinely don’t think I’ve seen pool areas cleaned to such a high standard.
The atmosphere was exactly what you’d expect from Ibiza Rocks. There was always music on and a good buzz around the place during the day. What surprised us was that the entertainment finished at around 9pm each evening, so despite being a party hotel, it was actually quiet enough to sleep afterwards. There was noise from other guests at times, but that’s completely expected when you’re staying somewhere like Ibiza Rocks and it certainly didn’t affect our stay.
One thing that surprised me was the mix of guests. Being in my late 30s, I was a little worried before arriving that I’d be one of the oldest people there and completely out of place. That couldn’t have been further from the truth. There was a real mix of ages, from younger groups of friends to hen and stag parties, couples and older groups just enjoying the atmosphere. It made the hotel feel much more inclusive than I’d expected and there was a great vibe throughout the week.
We booked breakfast and it was served until 12:30pm every day, which was ideal after late nights. There was a full English breakfast available alongside continental options, fruit, pastries and hot drinks. The food was good and there was plenty of choice.
One downside was that it could be difficult to get a sunbed around the main pool area, particularly on busier days. A lot of the beds are reserved as part of VIP packages, which does limit availability for standard hotel guests. It wasn’t enough to spoil the holiday, but it’s worth knowing before you go.
There was also a shop on site which was really handy. Ibiza isn’t cheap wherever you go, but the prices were pretty much in line with the rest of the island and not ridiculously inflated because it was in the hotel. It had a really good selection of drinks, snacks, toiletries and all the random bits you inevitably forget to pack.
One thing we really appreciated was the flexibility on our final day. Check out was at 11am, although you can extend your room for around €50, which I thought was extremely reasonable. We didn’t do this, but we were able to keep our wristbands and continue using the pool facilities until we left for the airport at 7pm. There was also a luggage room where we stored our cases, and it even had irons and ironing boards available for guests to use.
The location is great too, with bars, restaurants, shops and the beach all within easy walking distance, but it is the other side of the island to where the clubs are.
Overall, we had a really good stay. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, the facilities were well looked after and it delivered exactly what we expected from an Ibiza party hotel."
