Punta del Rey

"We arrived quite late and did not have a good welcome. Rob or if you like Roberto was quite rude and it took ages to check in. He kept saying we need a voucher and wanted to look at our phone and paper work but we were clearly booked in as they had our key and room ready. There was another couple behind us and he did the same to them, lots of people complained about his manners. He never gave us any information so had to find out the next day when there was someone else on reception. The room was clean but sheets and towels were only changed once a week. Hair dryer and tv remote were 10 Euros each you got this back when you check out. The breakfast was awful dried up bacon and cheap sausages and hardly any choice of fruit. No air-con unless you payed an extra 40 euros per night in the new building. There was a floor fan. If you asked for a cup of water and ice it would cost 1 euro. Long walk to the centre. No smoking on your own balcony if caught it would cost 200 euros to clean the room. Just designated area around pool. Also old fashioned keys to your room and if you lost them or got them stuck in the lock it would cost you 60 euros. The pool and the sunbeds were nice and so were the bar men who bought you drinks to your bed around the pool. Inflatables for any one to use which other people had left behind. You can get a large bottle of water from reception for 1.50 euros which was good because you didn't need to carry it up all the stairs. And there is a washing machine that you can use 5 euros for a washing tablet."

"We had a lovely stay at Punta del Rey. The location is very convenient, with easy access to the beach, restaurants, and nearby attractions. The price is affordable and offers great value for money. Overall, a great place to stay in Puerto Rico."
