Ona Hacienda del Alamo Golf & Resort

"Avoid and find somewhere else to stay. Rooms are large but tired. Major cracks around door frames that are obvious and could be fixed. Furniture in rooms rusty. 1 bin in the bedroom 1 in one of the bathrooms. No bags in the bins. I read on another review it was due to ambience. Food at the clubhouse was average at best. Not helped by a member of staff dropping a glass that landed on and around us and despite telling them 3 times where the glass was they didnt even ask if we were Ok or was our food affected. It always smells of manure outside. Reception hardly ever has staff on it. Restaurant wasn't open and a member of staff said it was down to management. Would not recommend."

"Very, very beautiful, magnificent, but unfortunately still under construction. What they don't tell you when you book. They sell you several services that aren't functional yet, like the spa, and there is nothing for children. Example: ping-pong table, space for children, etc., etc. There is only the pool and the gym. Upon arrival, they touted the peace and quiet to us. Arrival in the supposedly upgraded room. We found ourselves right in the middle of the renovation site. In front as well as behind. From 9 a.m., the excavators and other machines, trucks, etc., etc., start work. We were far from peace and quiet. I thank the hotel for upgrading us, but I think I would have preferred not to be. Basically, it's as if I had rented a construction trailer right in the middle of a construction site."

"Just spent 3 days in a junior suite( an upgrade for our 30th wedding anniversary!) So much space and everything you could need. As on the second floor great views across the golf course particularly at night with the beautiful lighting. The pool is huge,clean and salt water which I love, absolutely loved it! Plenty of loungers and attentive pool attendants who were really friendly. Amazing value breakfast with everything you could ask for. Good value meals in the club house and again a beautiful, comfortable setting. The restaurants nearby are good and it's literally a 10 minute walk. A shop/ mini market near the restaurants too. Free parking and plenty of it. Reception staff extremely helpful. Absolutely wonderful , unforgettable stay, highly recommend to all! Thank you to all the staff at Ona Hacienda Del Alamo!"
