"Amazing hotel in general, would strongly recommend.
Firstly, the room was very tidy and modern, I can’t see how people label it as “outdated” . The nice high quality orange wooden walls and the furniture especially made it look modern and up to date. Everything was functional from all light bulbs to all kitchenette appliances. Some little improvements that could be done are sanding the floor from dark scratches and tightening some door handles, other than that everything looked brand new, from the hallways to the reception . The WiFi was about 60mbps and it worked about 50 meters outside, which is exceptional for a luxury modern hotel. The tv could have been Smart but it’s fine.
Moving on to the restaurant in block C, there was a lot to choose from for breakfast. Many seats were available as well. I believe that the 25 eur per person fine for bringing out food is a very unique and innovative idea and more hotels should follow it. The outdoor pool and the garden were well kept and spotless. There was a large variety of plants growing there. A wall on the edge of sea terrace looked like if it was about to collapse but I am sure that’s just a visual detail and the path is safe as it’s built with some base that lasts decades .
The lobby was small due to renovations of the seating area . I can’t see why such upgrade was needed as the hotel is brand new. So personally I believe it’s a wasted investment as it wasn’t needed at all. I’ve heard that the renovation of the rooms will start this year and I strongly encourage you to hold off with that. It would be a large waste of money as the room was perfect as mentioned above. The exit on the 5th floor was very handy and was well kept. While using this exit I have spotted a smashed window on one of the guest room balconies.
Finally, I will be discussing the overall atmosphere I experienced during my stay. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. The cleaners always said hello. The 3 main languages on hotel signs were Portuguese, English and German.
In conclusion, I would have given this hotel 3.5 stars however the thing which made me give 5 stars (even 10 stars out of 5 if it was possible) without a doubt was the nazi swastika symbol in an elevator, it really made me feel welcome and accepted. This engraved symbol made my day and it made me feel proud of who I am as a strong supporter of this group and their past actions. This was further reinforced after I saw a second symbol on the fire plan card the next day. After seeing both of these symbols I really felt that I belong here. Thank you so much for letting me see these whether it was done by the staff or left by an amazing guest, it enhanced my stay a lot."
