The room (room 108) was very nice, and our cleaner who looked after our room was fantastic, and very attentive. Whoever that cleaner is, thank you for looking after us and making our room so comfortable during our stay! The only thing I'd say is the pillows are too hard! Food was fantastic at breakfast lunch and dinner, though sometimes breakfast was a little on the cold side. I think there could be more of a variety of drinks available, personally. Service in the restaurant can be very hit and miss. With some staff you can feel a little ignored, or service without a smile or a word. One standout member of staff for us was Youseff, who was always friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and no trouble at all. He remembered our drinks, topped us up when he could see our glasses getting low, and even offered (and made for us!) a sandwich to take with us on our last morning as we had an early flight. There is so much reserving of sunbeds, a lot of them often empty all morning. The pools and poolside area are lovely. It is a bit of a walk I think to get to anything on the promenade, will probably stay at the other Riu next time. Reception are friendly but not very attentive. I requested gowns that were missing from our rooms (which are advertised as included) on the app. Nothing from reception for 24hrs. I went and asked reception in person the following day, they said you need to request it, so I did. No gowns arrived. When we next bumped into our cleaner, I asked her if we could have some gowns, they were had our door within 10 minutes (it was no effort for her at all). Some other clientele can be a bit rowdy around the pool, where people are trying to relax. We understand everyone is on holiday and should have fun, but not at the detriment of others either... a lot of other people were commenting about how disruptive they were. Other than that, very clean hotel, lovely views and pools, some fantastic service too. Thanks for a great stay."

"Not a four star . Zero managerial presence at any point during our stay - no one walking around asking if we were ok / general welcoming atmosphere - in fact zero feeling of anyone being in charge or responsible for guest wellbeing Filthy dirty broken sun loungers - cushions / mattresses so stained should be thrown out and replaced . Dirty tables and floor around pool area - old cups / rubbish left all day . Every sunbed marked with a towel - mostly with no one using them - this was apparently against hotel rules -but no one seemed to be monitoring the passive aggressive, territorial attitude of these guests - frankly depressing There was litter on the stairs for four days- are there no managers checking these things ?? Beach beds and tables dirty and unfit for purpose - sand piled up and not raked flat before day starts , so beds are practically impossible to lie on. 2 giant plastic bins full of stinking rubbish 24/7 . Buckets full of rubbish and cigarette ends - not the best sight every day . The hotel shop has probably the two most unhelpful / negated staff I have ever encountered - the lack of interest selling me something was quite astounding Food was plentiful and varied but maybe less is more ,would ensure better quality offer. Would rather have less choice and more considered offer . Had food poisoning on day 3 - possibly from fish the night before . The olive tree place nr pool was appalling - a young man stood behind the ‘service ‘ area with his arms crossed in a filthy dirty apron for six full days - not sure he should be customer facing? Chicken nuggets and cold hard burnt waffles are not my idea of 4 star holiday food - absolutely dreadful . So sadly - although most of the staff were friendly- the place itself just didn’t feel welcoming or ‘quite right’ Agadir itself is quite shocking with boarded up restaurants and shops . The marina looks like a derelict half built building site with filthy dirty streets and almost no shops or decent places to eat - whether this is a result of Covid I don’t know but it really needs investment if it wants to be considered a viable tourist destination Won’t be going back but thank you"
