"This hotel was so surprising to me. The front reception area is rather small and unassuming but our room (1br apartment) was so spacious and well-appointed. Room appeared clean - towels smelled fresh and bed linens likewise. The kitchenette was very well stocked (utensils, plates, pots, packets of creamer in the fridge, etc). The hair dryer came with a diffuser attachment! Never found that in a hotel before. Satisfactory laundry room but expensive to do laundry. 5€ per load to wash and another 5€ per load to dry. Must book a slot before time. Washers/dryers are large. This hotel has no ice so you’ll either need to buy from the supermarket closeby or ask at the neighbouring hotel. Our short stay was very comfortable and the front desk staff were excellent. Held our baggage for us before check in time and when we were ready to see Venice they provided us a map and circled all the areas of interest…including their recommended zone for restaurants, which turned out great. Train station conveniently close. Even with 6 luggages the walk is very doable. Highly recommend."

"We stayed here for three nights prior to embarking on a cruise from Fusina. The room was comfortable and clean. We didn't use the kitchen at all so I can't comment on how well stocked that was. The location was convenient for getting the train into Venice. We didn't explore locally much, but there was a large supermarket and a nice cafe/bar within a few minutes walk. We did hear some train noise early in the morning, which didn't bother us, but might disturb some people. We didn't use any of the facilities, such as as the laundry, breakfast or fitness room, but it seemed that you had to ask staff for access to the fitness room. The only real issue we had was with a couple of the staff. When we checked in we asked about late check out as I had booked it online but hadn't been charged for it. The man at reception started on a bit of a confusing rant about how they couldn't guarantee it and we would have to ask the following day, because if we checked out late they wouldn't have time to clean the room between guests. We just nodded along as it was late and we were tired. The next day, as we left the hotel, my husband told reception that our remote control didn't work and could someone please look at it? The woman at the desk said we would have to bring the control down. He said "can't maintenance go in and check it?" and he was told no. When we got back that evening he took it to reception and was spoken to quite rudely and told that there was nothing wrong with it and it did work. However, they replaced it. On our final morning we asked someone different about checking out late. She was absolutely lovely and sorted it out for us as well as helpfully arranging a taxi for us. So the staff experience was definitely mixed, but ended on a good note."
