Grand Hotel Baglioni

"We had a fantastic 3night stay at this hotel. So convenient arriving by train. The hotel had character and charm. It felt spacious and friendly. If you're looking for modern , corperate style rooms this isn't for you. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious and wow what a view. Our room was quirky , it had an additional chill out room attached with settee etc. was clean and comfortable. Would definitely return to this hotel."

"We transitioned here from our stay in Venice, primarily for the convenience of a tour we had scheduled. The hotel itself is truly beautiful, with its historic architecture and antique charm. We stayed on the first floor and the preservation of the room and hallways was quite admirable. However, our room did have a distinct, unpleasant odor. We wondered whether it might be related to the age of the building but we couldn’t say for certain. The shower and bathtub also reflect the hotel’s historic character, which we appreciated aesthetically. However, the shower was a bit challenging to use without getting the bathroom floor wet or worse, slightly flooded. While we certainly admire the preservation of the hotel’s original features, historic items, photos, and relics… a few modern conveniences would make the experience more comfortable. As for the front desk staff, their approach to hospitality was somewhat reminiscent of the customer service we’ve experienced in France… curt and perhaps a little lacking in warmth. Overall, the hotel is undeniably beautiful and rich in character, but a few aspects of our stay left room for improvement."

"(Please read everything!) After I had constantly checked the prices and availability, the hotel was suddenly fully booked. Nevertheless, a room became available again 4 days before our arrival, and I jumped at it. The proximity to the train station and the location near the old town, as well as the great rooftop terrace, convinced me. Ultimately, I booked for 500 euros per night. Unfortunately, there were no bathrobes and slippers in the room, as well as water in a carton and also no coffee machine, which I consider appropriate for this price. There were also 3 small steps from the elevator, which was difficult with the stroller. We provided the child's age when booking... NEVERTHELESS, I would rate the hotel as very good. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and when it suddenly rained, we were given umbrellas! The lobby and especially the rooftop terrace are an experience, and the breakfast and lunch were very, very delicious and plentiful. The team in the restaurant was very competent and friendly. Thank you all for the wonderful hospitality!"
