"My partner and I recently stayed here for 10 nights. Overall, we had a really enjoyable experience and would recommend the hotel. There are already plenty of reviews highlighting the positives, so I wanted to focus mainly on some feedback and recommendations that may be helpful for both future guests and the hotel.
Beach & Pool Areas
The beach is advertised as private, but it isn’t entirely. While the hotel side is accessed via a key card gate, the beach can also be reached through a public underpass from the main road. Despite this, it still feels exclusive as it’s compact, peaceful, and the sunbeds are excellent.
Whether you plan to spend the day at the beach or by the pools, I’d strongly recommend getting there around 10am to secure a sunbed, as they fill up quickly. Seating is limited, although we never had an issue finding somewhere by arriving early. There is also the option to reserve beach sunbeds (starting from around €20), but we didn’t feel this was necessary unless you specifically wanted to arrive later in the day.
Food & Drink Service
Service around the pools and beach was inconsistent. Some waiters were incredibly attentive and couldn’t do enough for you, while others seemed to avoid eye contact, making it difficult to order drinks or ask for the bill. It wasn’t a major issue as we were happy to order directly at the bar when needed, but a more consistent approach would definitely improve the experience.
The pool restaurant was also a little confusing. Sometimes staff would come to your table to take your order, while other times you were expected to order at the counter. It wasn’t always clear what the process was and found it to be quite awkward.
It also felt like the central pool and beach areas could benefit from one or two additional staff members during peak times to help with taking orders and delivering drinks more efficiently. For the price paid I would expect to be able to order drinks etc to the table consistently.
Evening Dining
The à la carte restaurants were generally very good, although service times varied considerably. Some evenings our food arrived quickly, while on others there was quite a long wait.
We also tried the evening buffet once (€27 per person). The selection was excellent with plenty of variety, although some of the food could have been served hotter.
The à la carte food is reasonably priced, but drinks are fairly expensive. Even though we don’t drink much alcohol, our average evening meal still came to around €50, so it’s worth budgeting accordingly.
Location
If you’re looking for nightlife, clubs or a lively atmosphere, this probably isn’t the right hotel. It’s quiet, secluded and relaxing, which was exactly what we were looking for.
The hotel is in a great location for the airport—we used private transfers both ways and the journey took around 30 minutes each time.
Athens city is a little further away. The hotel will happily arrange taxis there and back, we paid €65 each way. More on this later. If you’re planning to explore Athens, I’d probably limit it to one or two visits if you’re budgeting.
We managed to visit the Acropolis, the Panathenaic Stadium, enjoy some sightseeing, and have dinner all between 5pm and 10pm so it’s definitely possible as an evening trip.
The surrounding area itself has very little within walking distance. There are only a handful of restaurants nearby, and even the nearest supermarket required a taxi. Although it was only around a five-minute drive, the taxi cost €20, and walking isn’t really an option due to the dual carriageway and lack of pavements.
I’d recommend making one supermarket trip early in your stay to stock up on essentials, although bear in mind the room’s mini fridge is fairly small. Fortunately, the hotel offers enough dining options to provide some variety throughout your stay.
Evening Entertainment
One suggestion I’d make is to introduce a greater variety of evening entertainment.
We stayed for 10 nights, and almost every evening featured the same singer. She was very talented, but after several nights it became quite repetitive. It would be great to see a mix of entertainment such as bands, themed evenings, dancers, comedians or something a little more interactive for something to do in the evening, as you are very limited owing to the area.
I was surprised how quiet the evening bar was most nights, with only three or four occupied tables. I think a wider variety of entertainment could really improve the atmosphere.
Guest Experience & Taxi Service
I’d like to give a special mention to young Elenis from the Guest Experience team, who was absolutely fantastic. She arranged our excursions and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Thank you, Elenis, for all your hard work!
The hotel also offers two options when booking taxis: you can either arrange a fixed pick-up time in advance, or call the hotel when you’re ready to return and they’ll organise one for you.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with this return taxi service on both occasions we used it. I want to stress that this wasn’t a reflection on the Guest Experience team—it was an issue with the reception staff handling the requests.
The first time, we called the hotel when we were ready to return from a local bar around 10 mins away. The receptionist initially struggled to understand where we were, which took alot of back and forth, and then advised there would be a 90-minute wait for a taxi. We decided to cancel and make our own way back instead.
The second time was after our visit to Athens. The hotel had advised us that not booking a return time in advance was absolutely fine, but recommended calling 1–2 hours before we wanted collecting because of the journey time.
We did exactly that. After trying to get through for around 20 minutes, someone finally answered and told us they would call us back to confirm the collection time. They never did. When I called again to chase up afterwards, I was told our taxi would suddenly arrive in less than 10 minutes, leaving us to rush through the end of our dinner and leave much earlier than we had planned. This could have been prevented if the hotel had contacted me to confirm the arrangements as promised.
Overall, despite a few areas that could be improved, particularly consistency of service, taxi arrangements, and evening entertainment, we genuinely had a wonderful holiday. The hotel itself is beautiful, the facilities are excellent, and the peaceful atmosphere is exactly what many people will be looking for. With a few small improvements, this would easily be a five-star experience."
