"As an agent I will never send my clients here.
I will keep it as factual as I can.
Having stayed in many 4 snd 5 star hotels in lots of Greek islands, this is by far he worse.
We had to clean the room when we arrived we found cigarette butt's under the bed on the balcony sunbed, a child's toy under the sofa and the bathroom was dirty with hair and sand in the shower.
The film on the glass that blocks everyone seeing you on the toilet had been peeled off and the shower screen had a crack in it. The towels were threaded and one had a hole in it, they were that old. No complementary flannels and the air conditioning clicked all night keeping my daughter awake who was on the sofa bed ( we were in a deluxe suite) I complained about all of these things and walked a reception lady around our room. They changed the towels but fixed nothing else. The lady from reception who's name I won't mention as I don't want to get her in trouble said it's not acceptable. The rooms are 15 years old they need refurbing but the hotel was full. None of the other issues were dealt with. When I asked them to look at the air-conditioning no-one came, I asked again and an engineer came an said unfortunately it's just old so could do nothing we has to put up with it.
All sunbeds round the main pool gone by 8am and round the adult pool gone by 9am. The main pool was absolutely rammed. Center Parcs pool in school holidays is quieter.
The staff in the main breakfast restaurant and the high end breakfast restaurant made me feel like I was a bother to them. Never smiled. Walked around slow as if they didn't want to be there. One lady sighed at me when I asked if I could get a tea.
Good selection in the main breakfast restaurant but it is not a pleasant experience it was loud, packed like a school canteen. No one showed you to a table it was a free for all. Not the experience I've had previously from other 4.5 star hotels
We never ate in the main restaurant in the evening. We took one look at it was a free for all also. The speciality restaurants had very limited choice with only four starters on the Italian, two of them being seafood based.
The hotel is in the middle if nowhere. We like to walk out to bars and shops but there is absolutely nothing. There is one restaurant outside the hotel and thank goodness. Everything else is 25-30minutes walk away in kos Town and it's not a pleasant walk around back streets. If you walk along the front it's about 2.5 miles. Kos Town was dissapointing. Very commercial english breakfasts Irish bars, loud and good for 18-30s this is around the harbour. The old town and the square is OK but Rhodes Town, Corfu Town, Zante Town. Argastoli and Chania are far prettier.
There are very few taxis. We were advised there was one taxi company on the island. Reception booked us a taxi on three occasions. Booked it in the morning for the evening and they never showed up. We asked where it was, receptionist said its not confirmed which means they will come if they can, when they can, as they are busy. This isn't funny when you are in the middle of nowhere.
Pelagos should not advertise their private beach. It's the worse I've seen abroad. You have to walk 50 meters through grass land to the sea. There is litter on the beach and my husband had to step over a dirty nappy. There was a staff member sweeping sand off the few beds on the beach early morning but cleared nothing else I dont understand how the hotel could leave their beach like it.
My daughter went to the pancake/waffle hut everyday to try and get a waffle as they advertised them. It wasn't until day six that she got one.
Honestly I have experienced lots and lots of 4/5 star hotels even did 2 star small and friendly in greece a few weeks ago and my room then was far cleaner with more amenities than Pelagos suites.
There are far better hotels than this"
