"I’m going to start with the few positive about this hotel.
-On first impressions, it looks lovely as it only opened in the middle of this year.
-The main dining area and internal seating area are done beautifully.
-The staff are great, apart from the manager and the receptionist who works through the day. Not helpful at all. All the other staff are friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.
-The entertainment on a Friday night was amazing, she has a great voice and got everyone involved and up to dance.
-They have a great salad choice and cakes are nice.
-The Sun loungers around the pool are nice metal ones and very comfortable.
-There is 4 to 5 different ice cream choices.
-Fresh fruit is apply, kiwi and melon.
Unfortunately this is where the positives end.
-The hot food is cold, even if you go for it as soon as the restaurant opens. You have to heat everything up in a microwave, if you want to eat here. The food is also very limited unless you don’t mind living on salads throughout your holiday. (Some lovely restaurants not too far away) But on an all inclusive holiday you don’t expect to have the extra expense of eating out most nights.
-We had to serve ourselves most of the time for drinks, as the bar staff kept on disappearing for long periods of time.
-They say there are two bars on site. One outside near the pool and the other is on the end of the counter in the dining area, where they just bring the bottles of alcohol in from the bar outside.
-The lights inside the pool were floating around.
-The tiles on the bottom of the pool were missing.
-The outside pool toilet male/ female had no lock on it.
-We asked for pool towels which you pay €10 deposit and €1 they keep per towel. We were told for 3 days that they had not been returned by the laundrette yet. We did eventually get some, but used them to soak the water up in our room along side the bath and hand towels.
-The external stairs had chunks of concrete missing.
-The concrete grates on the floor were broken and smashed.
-It rained on and off for days and our room was flooded at the main door and the patio doors each time. We spoke to most of the other guests and they had the same issue.
-We had shoes, plug extensions and phone chargers on the floor which got soaking wet and ruined.
-Other guests had the water coming through their ceiling lights and were told to keep their lights turned off.
-No one came around to try and sort/ repair any of the issues.
-The walk way to our room was also flooded, no drains to take the water away.
-The whole of the hotel outside areas were extremely slippery when wet due to the large amount of water lying and creating small pools as the water had no where to go.
-Our air conditioning didn’t work, it wouldn’t switch off. We were told to switch it off at the mains connection fuse board in the room.
-There is a safe in your room but unfortunately you have to be very flexible to get to it. As it’s on a second shelf from the floor. You can fits wallet, purse or passports in it but that’s it. ( ridiculous small) not fit for purpose.
We have been in Corfu for two weeks. We initially booked to go to St George Palace but after checking in, paying €140 room tax and being told to go for food. Which we couldn’t eat as it was all covered in wasps, so
we went back to reception and then got told due to there being an issue with the room we had to go to their sister hotel called Serena Holiday Resort.
Unfortunately we had to stay at the Serena for a week and then we were told that this hotel closes on Monday 12th October and had to be out of our room at 10am. So once again we got moved to another sister hotel, (3 hotels in 2 weeks) called Amour Holiday Resort for the last week of our holiday. When we arrived we couldn’t get checked in straight away, even though they have known for almost a week that we were coming.
All three hotels, I have been told come under Ninos Hotel Group. These hotels in my opinion are not 4 stars. Unsure how or who rates them but the star rating needs amended to a much lower one."
