"We had an absolutely wonderful holiday it was great to see you all Elena cosmo wendy the bar staff and the wonderful cleaners who do an amazing job We have some friends Geoff and Marion who are coming to Roda on the 25 sept they would like to come and have a look around we have advised them a garden rom we also said to tell you all how great it is from David and Debbie. We are looking forward to coming out in 2028 we are already booked for next year xx"

"This is the first time i've ever felt strongly enough to review ! We arrived at the Elizabeth and initially we were not dissapointed ,the gounds were lovely the pool was clean and the hotel is in a good location ,close to beach and resturants . We paid £280 euros for air con which seemed excessive but the units worked well and were not too noisy ,this is where the positivity ends .We had booked a sea view and we could see it ,but only just ,wouldn't have paid extra for the view we had . The room was clean ,housekeeping were very good ,bed comfy but rooms very basic, a fridge , 3 mugs,3 tumblers and 3 spoons ,no knife ,plates,bowls or anywhere to prepare even a sandwich ,the only sink is the one in the bathroom . Breakfast was also basic ok if complimentary but we paid extra for ours ,same food everyday ,staff stand and watch you continually its quite an uncomfortable atomosphere .We asked if we could have breakfast slightly early one day as we were going on a boat trip we were told by management ,No! breakfast is at 8.30am though its sat ready at 8am each morning ,you were not allowed to touch it untill 8.30am the only exception we were told was on your last day before your flight ,on our last day we gave our key back and attempted to get some cereal before we left to get our flight and one of the owners ,Kostas mother i think , snatched the bowl from my hand and said "breakfast is at 8.30 " i told her we just wanted some cereal before our trip home ,we had paid for it ,she started to shout like a woman possessed ,cursing us in Greek and telling us to leave ,my husband took a video of her ranting,which we have viewed since being home and agree its absolutely unacceptable behaviour very unprofessional we would never treat our customers the way we were treated by these people for any reason . We were not the only guests treated badly ,one couple had thier electricity turned off because they had allowed another guest to use thier shower ,they were told "no other guests are allowed in your room " this was one of the many ,many rules thst you had to abide by ,wont go into all of them ,too many . Finally my clothing had blown off the balcony ,Wendy told me they were on a chair in back area of hotel ,we couldnt find them ,long story short ,owners told me it was gardeners policy to throw items away if not claimed within 2/3 days , i questioned this which they definately didn't like i told them i was very upset about it ,they told me they had been there a week ,i wore them only 3 days before ,Kosta then changed his story and told me the gardener had not seen them ,i suggested a lost/found box ,not good enough to throw guests belongings away . We had read the reviews and chose to ignore the neg ,really wish we hadn't ,never experienced anything like this before ,im sure like the other neg reviews they will excuse themselves or try to justify thier behaviour ,dont be fooled! All of this did not spoil our holiday ,we had great weather ,ate in the town ,not one bad meal would particularly recommend Nikos resturant thier Greek night was great fun ,loved it ."

"As a couple in our 60's we really enjoyed the location and the atmosphere, even though it was fully booked there was plenty of space and loads of sunbeds. Although we had a couple of small issues Kosta always sorted them out in his friendly and courteous manner. The room itself was nice as it was a duplex the bedroom balcony was good, although the stairs to the bedroom were a bit high ( tread height 12 inches) so might be tricky for some. We was pleasantly surprised by the small kitchen are as never saw this in any literature. Pool was certainly large and clean.All the staff including cleaners ( the most ) were pleasant to deal with although not all the upper management, felt like some customer service/ attitude training was needed. Breakfast was ok although it got boring. Hot selection is fried egg ( poached on Sundays) sausage, bacon, baked beans, hard boiled eggs and triangle hash brown. Cold had sliced Edam ( local cheese Kefalotiri would have been better) sliced tomato, cucumber, meat (some sort) jams including yoghurt,home made kumquat, fruit and toast. Nobody could understand why all pool inflatables were removed when the children left the hotel. I was told by many guests that they chose to book direct as it includes Aircon and airport transfers. I had difficulty with this as booking direct as opposed to a package deal meant almost £1000 more to the cost and a taxi transfer as opposed to the coach is about £70 each way. Also air-conditioning is charged at £10 per night but beware as in a two bedroom, each one has an air conditioning unit the cost would double. We love Roda and is perfect for a wide range of guests, with a shallow sea shelf and nice sand with about 1mt of fine shingle. Please go and enjoy"
