"There are a few things I expect from every hotel, regardless of whether it's in the city or the country. Regardless of whether it's 2 or 5 stars. This includes a clean bed and a functioning shower. And perhaps also that the bathroom door can be closed. The latter is not possible in my room. I probably got it as a single room for that reason. But let's start at the beginning. The hotel is located quite conveniently to the subway in a quiet area. However, it is only a few minutes' walk to numerous restaurants and bars. This is actually not a tourist district. The prices are correspondingly quite reasonable (compared to the city center, which can be reached in 15 minutes by subway). The location is therefore a good compromise between affordable, but still quick to get into town. You didn't notice anything of the protests here at all. Check-in was fast thanks to online booking. The one elevator for 6 floors is fast, but it starts to struggle, especially at breakfast. The hotel's decor and theme is street art. On the TV in the lobby, there is a continuous loop on the topic, which gets boring by day 3, however. The hallway is appealing, and the rooms are unlocked with a card. The same one also provides the electricity, although a similarly sized one also works. The very first look into the room is appealing. I had expected it to be smaller. At second glance, it becomes clear to me that there is no closet. Okay, luckily we only booked for one week. At least, a comfortable bed with a third pillow. We also have a room safe and air conditioning. Wi-Fi is reasonably fast. Blackout with thick curtains is pretty good. The soundproofing, however, is miserable. Showers, toilets, footsteps from the room above, or from the hallway, are mercilessly audible. Even the rather quiet ringing of the elevator (unfortunately the room is right across from it) could be heard. Signs of wear in the room are present, but not too bad. Electrically everything is fine, but it looks bad regarding power outlets. There are many USB ports, but anyone who needs a classic one (shaver, electric toothbrush, laptop) has to look a bit. In the bathroom, things get funny. As mentioned, the door cannot be closed due to a bump in the floor (I didn't check what is hidden under the carpet there). It is a bit weird with some human activities when you look at the bed while doing them. That is certainly an isolated case in my room, but I am evaluating what I find. The bathroom is otherwise small, but usable. The shower has shampoo, but no shelf. The shower head is free of limescale and gets warm quickly, but the temperature fluctuates a bit. We do not have an exhaust hood. Above the toilet, we have a great example of how not to patch up damage. However, I could not find any mold. So the bathroom is otherwise quite okay. The best part is the breakfast, which turns out to be very generous contrary to expectations (well, for France). It cannot, of course, stand up to a comparison with Germany/Austria, but I was very satisfied with it. The only thing, and now it gets paradoxical, was that a sufficient amount of baguette was missing (once, nevertheless, we are in France). I particularly liked that you could boil eggs yourself. And that it is operated in such a way that practically no waste is produced. Finally, a few general observations. Coffee and water are available for free 24 hours a day. A microwave can be used for free. Games and a foosball table for the little ones are there. The hotel bar (which is also the reception) is rather poorly stocked. Various foods that are left over from breakfast are available for free consumption during the day (I think that's great). The service was very friendly. The room key card keeps losing its encoding. Very strange. Conclusion: Even though I see the non-lockable door to the bathroom as a major flaw, and the poor soundproofing catches the eye (or rather the ears), other aspects are good to very good. Because of this and the strong breakfast 3/5"

"This hotel is very well located with welcoming staff. Hearty breakfast. The catch was the room, the narrowness of the passage between the bed and the wall to get to the bathroom made it almost impossible to pass through facing forward, impossible to get a large suitcase through. Tiny bathroom, no storage, small shower stall, a wooden board hiding the poorly connected plumbing on the floor"
