"This hotel is quite a distance from Paris city centre. I was assigned to a small room, but clean. I can easily hear other guests talking, opening & closing their door. I can hear a lot of noises from other room throughout the night & I can sleep peacefully."

"My friend and I booked 5 nights at the Grand Hotel Doré as part of an Easyjet package city break. We wanted somewhere a bit more traditional and with good transport links, and the GHD certainly delivered a very positive experience overall. My room was on the 3rd floor (no view to speak of) and was very quiet at night. My friend's room was on the 1st floor facing the street and nearer reception, so she did hear a bit more noise, but nothing excessive. My room was very comfortable and warm, really clean, and had lots of storage space as well as a mini - fridge and safe. We didn't use the hotel for breakfast, but went instead to the nearby restaurant Au Metro to eat, where we also had food in the evening a couple of times. The GHD is fabulously convenient for the Métro, being only a couple of hundred metres from the Daumesnil station which is on lines 6 and 8. This meant a straightforward journey from the airport, with just one change from an RER train to a Métro required. Very helpful reception staff organised a taxi for us to go back to CDG (a standard fare of €65) and staff generally at the GHD were terrific. Special mention and thanks to the wonderful Fetta. I foolishly left my house and car keys in my room safe after check out, only realising my error when about to board the plane back to Edinburgh. Fetta very kindly and efficiently organised the safe return postage of my keys (for which I had to pay, of course, but did so gladly) A hard lesson learned - always feel inside the safe!"
