"Excellent choice for a short break in Berlin. The hotel is within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, shops, public transport etc. Bright and modern with friendly, professional staff. Breakfast is busy but manageable. Rooms could do with some more storage. Would definitely recommend."

"Excellent breakfast with a fantastic selection of healthy, delicious food as well as plenty of tempting guilty pleasures! A fantastic hotel, located a little away from Alexanderplatz, but since we had Berlin WelcomeCards for our entire stay, getting around was never a problem. We often just hopped on the U-Bahn and travelled one stop to Alexanderplatz. The longest we ever had to wait for a train was just three minutes, in either direction! This is a really enjoyable hotel with a great atmosphere. The staff were lively, friendly and genuinely helpful. Not the kind of artificial politeness you sometimes encounter, but people who really seemed happy to help and make guests feel welcome. I did notice, however, that one member of staff during dinner service and a woman at reception seemed to be under considerable pressure at times. The rooms are excellent overall. I'm taking off one star out of five because there are no shelves or cupboards for storing underwear, socks and other small personal belongings. A little more storage space would make a big difference. I should also mention what I consider a typical "German hotel problem": the almost complete lack of English-language TV channels. This seems to be the case in practically every hotel I've stayed at in Germany. Housekeeping was absolutely first-class, and the cleanliness was outstanding. All in all, a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel!"

"Just finished an enjoyable 6-night stay here for our first visit to Berlin. It is excellent example of the Holiday Inn Express edition with basic but very good quality rooms and amenities. Beds were great and the room was quiet (due in part to good sound-insulating windows). Excellent breakfast offering. Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Everything you would expect in a well-run Holiday Inn. However, one of its best features is a great location for tourists. Not quite on the Alexanderplatz (where many of the tourist tours start), but just a short walk from it. Several U- and S-bahn stations are near. Slightly longer walk to Museum Island. However, for us, the unexpected delight was discovering the Nikolaiviertel (Nikolai Quarter) just a couple of blocks from the hotel. This is a charming historic district full of pubs, restaurants and shops. We ate almost all of our dinners there. All in all a reliably good choice for tourists."
