"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Outstanding Stay – One of the Best Holidays We've Ever Had!
From the moment we arrived, we knew we were somewhere special. Although we arrived late at night, the reception area was absolutely stunning – grand, spotless, and beautifully presented. We were greeted with a welcome drink, and check-in was smooth and efficient.
I have coeliac disease, meaning I must follow a strict gluten-free diet for medical reasons. As soon as we arrived, reception arranged for the buffet manager to speak with me about my dietary requirements. This immediately reassured me, but little did I know that the service would only get better from there.
After check-in, we were whisked away to our room by golf buggy. Even in the dark, we could see just how vast and impressive the resort was. When we arrived at our room, we were genuinely blown away. It was spacious, immaculate, and beautifully decorated, with a huge, comfortable bed, luxury toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, a fully stocked minibar, snacks, a fruit platter, and a large balcony overlooking one of the many stunning pools.
The scale of the hotel is incredible. There are so many pools to choose from, each with its own atmosphere. We spent most of our time at the adults-only infinity pool, which was fantastic. The staff and lifeguards were attentive, friendly, and always happy to help. While I'm perfectly capable of getting my own towel and finding a sunbed, the staff insist on taking care of everything for you. The little touches really made a difference – cleaning your sunglasses, bringing ice-cold towels, buckets of ice for drinks, crisps, nuts, bottled water, cola, and anything else you could possibly need.
A special mention must go to Ashraf at the infinity pool. He works incredibly hard and nothing was ever too much trouble. He is a real credit to the hotel.
The beach area is beautiful, although we didn't spend much time there as we enjoy snorkelling and found other areas better suited for that. The resort is huge, but there are shuttle buses stopping throughout the grounds if you don't feel like walking. There are also drinks fridges dotted around the resort where you can help yourself at any time.
There are countless bars, lounges, and seating areas to relax in. Our favourite was the Lobby Bar, which served excellent coffee, smoothies, and premium branded drinks, including glass bottles of Coca-Cola. The staff there were exceptional.
One thing that really stood out was how friendly every single member of staff was. Whether it was gardeners, security staff, waiters, or housekeeping, everyone greeted us with a smile and made us feel genuinely welcome.
Now for the food – simply outstanding.
On our first day, Chef Thomaz personally contacted me via WhatsApp regarding my coeliac disease. He was absolutely fantastic. He explained exactly what I could and couldn't eat, reassured me about cross-contamination procedures, and told me that if there was anything I wanted that wasn't available, he would arrange it. As someone travelling abroad with coeliac disease for the first time, this level of care meant the world to me.
Chef Thomaz even arranged all of our à la carte restaurant bookings. At every restaurant we visited, the staff were already aware of my dietary requirements and took exceptional care of me. I genuinely felt treated like royalty.
Every à la carte restaurant was fantastic, but Mangal was the star of the show. Choosing your own cuts of fresh meat before watching them being cooked in front of you was a brilliant experience, and the steak was quite possibly the best we've ever had.
The Brazilian, Mexican, Italian, Seafood, and Asian restaurants were equally impressive, all serving fresh, high-quality food. Casa Fiesta Food Court was also excellent for lunch, with freshly prepared dishes cooked in front of you. The ice cream was delicious, and the freshly squeezed strawberry juice from the Fit Bar became a daily favourite. In fact, you can have virtually any fresh fruit juice you can imagine.
I will say the buffet was the only let down, for such a big hotel, it wasn't overly massive and choice wasn't as good as other hotels I've been to but we are all different! But still lots of choice.
We're not huge night owls, so we didn't experience all of the evening entertainment, but what we did see and hear was excellent. Mykonos Bar was particularly enjoyable, with a great atmosphere and entertainment nearby.
There is genuinely something for everyone here, whether you're travelling as a couple, family, or group of friends.
We had absolutely no issues during our stay. As English travellers, we felt welcomed, respected, and looked after throughout.
The food, drinks, facilities, staff, and attention to detail were all exceptional. We rarely return to the same hotel because we enjoy trying new places, but this is one of the few resorts that would seriously tempt us back.
If you have food allergies or coeliac disease, you can book with confidence. The care and attention I received exceeded all expectations.
A lovely additional touch was the horse and camel ranch. You can feed the horses and even ride Simba the camel. The animals appeared well cared for, healthy, and beautifully groomed.
Finally, while there are representatives around the resort offering excursions and services, they were always polite and respectful. Unlike some resorts, we never felt pressured.
Thank you, Rixos, for an unforgettable holiday. We made wonderful memories and cannot wait to return."
