"We had an excellent stay at Medina Solaria & Thalasso, Yasmine Hammamet. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning sea views from the balcony, and overall it delivered a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. Despite some weather challenges, the quality of the hospitality and facilities truly stood out.
🌊 Location & Views
The sea-facing views from the balcony were fantastic and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The location in Yasmine Hammamet is ideal for a relaxing getaway.
🌦️ Weather
The weather was unfortunately a bit disappointing—some cold and rainy days meant we spent more time indoors than expected. However, we did have a few good days as well, and the hotel staff made sure we still had a great time regardless.
🎭 Entertainment Team (Highlight of the Stay)
A special mention to the animation/entertainment team:
Chico (Shaadi), Ziko (Zakaria), Joe (Ashraf), and Dado (Hadiyah).
They were absolutely outstanding. They constantly organised games and activities, bringing complete strangers together and creating a friendly, social atmosphere. What really stood out was their personal touch—they remembered our names (myself, Ayaz, and my wife, Sahar), which is rare in such busy environments and made the experience feel very personal.
This team truly made our stay memorable. If we return, it would largely be because of them.
🍽️ Restaurant & Service
The restaurant experience was excellent. The food variety and quality were great.
A particular highlight was one of the waiters (unfortunately we didn’t catch his name) who recognised us by face from day two onwards. Every time we arrived:
Our table would be prepared
Drinks would be ready
Cutlery set up before we returned from the buffet
He consistently checked in and ensured we were comfortable during all three daily meals. That level of attentiveness made a big difference.
🧹 Housekeeping
Housekeeping was flawless—daily cleaning, fresh sheets, and a consistently well-maintained room. No issues at all.
🌙 Atmosphere & Improvement Suggestions
While the indoor entertainment (karaoke, shows, etc.) was good, the outdoor space is underutilised:
The area is large but too dark and quiet
No music outside, creating a dull atmosphere
Limited lighting makes it feel empty even when people are present
Suggestions:
Add better lighting and ambient music outdoors
Introduce outdoor heaters (even decorative/fire-style heaters)
Create a more lively evening environment for guests who prefer sitting outside
Currently, the only comfortable option at night is indoors, which becomes too warm and makes you feel sleepy early. A more balanced indoor/outdoor atmosphere would significantly enhance the experience.
✈️ Flight Experience (Return Journey)
The return flight was delayed by approximately 2–2.5 hours. While delays happen, the issue was lack of communication:
No clear announcements before boarding
Passengers were boarded and then kept waiting on the plane for over an hour
Updates were given late and in stages (bird strike, route changes, refuelling)
A better approach would have been to delay boarding and keep passengers informed, allowing them to remain comfortable in the terminal.
✅ Final Verdict
Overall, this was a brilliant experience.
The hotel, staff, food, and cleanliness were all excellent. With a few improvements—particularly around outdoor atmosphere and guest communication (flight aside)—this could easily become an outstanding, top-tier holiday destination.
Highly recommended, especially for anyone visiting Yasmine Hammamet.
And definitely worth staying here just to experience the incredible entertainment team."
